1. Check your breaker box and reset the HVACbreaker. If you don’t know which one it is,just turn them all off and back on again. 2. Check the HVAC closet to see if there’s anyice or dripping water. 3. If you have a round honeywell thermostat,try taking the face plate off, let it sit for aminute and then put it back on. IMPORTANT REMINDERIMPORTANT REMINDERTroubleshooting your AC!If your AC is not working correctly, please trythe following before putting in a maintenancerequest or calling the emergency line:If you’re unable to fix the problem, put in a workorder or give us a call. Make sure to include: the temperature the thermostat is set at ANDthe current temperature in your apartmentwhat type of thermostat you havewhether it’s blowing warm or cool airIf your AC is not coming on at all, make sureyou have working batteries in your thermostat! *If you know your AC is not working, pleasedon’t wait until Saturday to let us know!

How to plan a perfectCHOOSE A LOCATION - a park, lakeside oreven in a backyard! There are lots of greatplaces to picnic. Consider your guests, petsand the facilities (ie restrooms) whenchoosing your perfect picnic place. CHOOSE A TIME OF DAY. If you’repicnicking in the afternoon, make sureyour location has adequate shade. If it’san evening picnic, consider lighting.CONSIDER YOUR GUESTS & THEIR NEEDS. Ifyou have older guests, make sure theyhave seating off of the ground. If you’veinvited children, choose a location near apark or make sure they have games &activities.

How to plan a perfectCHOOSE YOUR SEATING. Blankets in thegrass are the obvious choice, but you couldalso take folding chairs, floor cushions orwoven mats. PLAN YOUR MENU. Foods you can eatwithout silverware are best, but if you’remaking macaroni salad, for example (seeJuly recipe), make sure to pack cutlery ofsome sort. If you’re picknicking in thesummer heat, you’ll probably want to packa cooler with plenty of ice. And don’tforget drinks! Lots of water is a must,especially on hot days.PREPARE FOR EASY CLEANUP. Take ziplocbags, a trash bag and baby wipes to makecleanup a breeze!

DIRECTIONS1. Cook the macaroni in lightly saltedwater according to the packagedirections. Drain and rinse undercold water to cool. Set aside.2. In a small bowl, mix together themayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt,and pepper. Splash in enough milkto make it pourable. Splash in picklejuice for extra flavor. Taste andadjust seasonings as needed. Setaside.3. Place the cooled macaroni in a largebowl and pour in three-fourths of thedressing. Toss and add moredressing if you'd like. (The dressingwill seem a little thin, but it willthicken up as the salad chills.)4. Stir in the roasted red peppers (orpimentos), olives, pickles, and greenonions. Add more of any ingredientif you'd like more stuff going on! Atthe end, splash in a little more picklejuice and stir.5. Chill for at least 2 hours beforeserving.
