Chair LetterScott PalermoA Skeetz ProductionPage 5ScottHello Again,I was under the gun with this newsletter entry because Jaime is going on a well-deserved vacation and wants to get itassembled before she leaves. I was unsure of what to write about but, since we are going into July, I thought I would do amid-year review of sorts…I am so very pleased with the direction the chamber is headed! The staff has done a great job with Jaime settling in her newrole as President and Laura coming on to assist with marketing and development. We have been bringing in a good deal ofnew members. Over 40 business have joined our ranks in the first half of the year!Micah Mayfield and our Ambassador Team have really engaged these new members and the membership as a whole to becertain everyone is involved and getting all exposure that they can get from participation in events. I am sure that they aregoing to exceed their goal of 100 guests at a monthly luncheon before the end of the year! All of our networking groups are going strong. The smaller groups make it easier to connect and form stronger relationshipsthan in the larger luncheon and organization-wide events. If you are interested in checking out a Leads Team or (ladies) theWomen In Networking Group, please reach out to the staff, a board member or ambassador! Our Billboard program has been a huge hit and we have gotten many reports of how happy our members are to see theirnames in lights! The board schedule is close to full all the time but if you are interested in advertising to North Countytravelers, please contact us and we will do what we can to make that happen for you.Keep an eye out for our chamber flip-flops in our member businesses! The contest runs through mid-August so if you want to be a Fun In the Sun destination, pleasecontact Jaime or Laura. We have hosted two great events with the Annual Music Trivia Night and Golf Tournaments. I attended both and thoughtthey were some of the bests we have had. I hope that everyone else in attendance had as good of a time as I did!If you want to have some real fun, you don’t want to miss our Annual Bowling for Scholars event on Thursday, August 1 at6:00PM. The event is held at Crest Bowl and it is our fundraiser for the scholarships that we award to North County areaHigh School Seniors in the Spring.
