Dear Members, Over the past several months, there has been a lot of activity and change with staffing as we geared up for the season and,of course, the launch of the PBG. While this is an exciting time, it is also a time to pause and be thankful to those who havesupported us to this point and to those who are working hard to advance the club. To that end, I wanted to share anoverview of several of our key people and their responsibilities for various aspects of club operations. Click here for anoverview of your LC Team. Dining: The club has been busy with activity, and there are a few items I wanted to share with you: During the PBG closure, we added coffee and fruit stations in the clubhouse, at the pool, and at the golf shop. Nowthat the PBG is open, we are narrowing the offer to the clubhouse and the PBG. Coffee and fruit will be served daily. 1. The team in the clubhouse is elevating the Sunday brunch with bottomless Champagne and a wonderful menu for$29 per person. 2. We enjoyed warm weather and a fantastic grand opening of the Patio Bar & Grill over the 4th of July weekend. Overthe coming weeks, we will continue enhancing service at the Patio Bar & Grill and hope you are enjoying the new menu. 3. Stay tuned for the launch of mobile ordering on our app for those quick bites and drinks while on the course or run. 4. PBG: The majority of the construction work is now complete, and over the next few weeks, we will be completing the golfside of the project. As communicated, when we opened, we found a broken drain that is currently under repair. Rules: We have provided you with various location dress code rules in past communications. Please click here for an easy-to-access guide on dress and cell phone usage rules at the club. Simulator Room: In the coming weeks, we will be decommissioning the golf simulator to make room for clubhouseconstruction. This space is valuable to staff and the ongoing good and orderly operation of the club. Board Materials: As we prepare for our Board Retreat later this month, we will take a full two days to begin planning for 2025 and beyond. Ihave heard several comments lately about the lack of communication, and with all the activity around the club, quarterlyreporting hasn’t been possible. Now that we aren’t short a few people, I will commit to a Q3 update that will culminate withthe annual report. Please click here to view June’s Board Brief. As I prepare for some time away with family in the coming weeks, I hope all of you are enjoying time with your families thissummer. I look forward to seeing you around the club. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out atany time. Enjoy your summer! Adam Adam ZubekGM/COOTHE DIVOT | FROM THE GMFrom Adam Zubek, GM/COOgm updateBACK TO CONTENTS

"Beach Blanket Bingo" was the June 9 &Dine theme held on Sunday, June 9th.Some special Mai Tai prepared bymaster mixer Nick ensured a festivebeginning to the tournament won bythe team of Brian Johnson, DebbieSnyder, and Sally & Jay Smith.Second-place winners were MarjorieGies, Ron Yttri, and Joan & Ed Tomeo.Third place was taken by Helen & BenPhilips with Helen and Bob Wiley.Special guests for the day were TravisBregman's wife, Sheila, and theiradorable baby girl, Aubrey. She wasgood as gold and did her best to bevery charming and adorable. She didn'thave to try very hard! Special thanks toher Dad for his enthusiasticparticipation in his first 9 & Dine andhis expertise on the high-techscoreboard that he set up for theoccasion. The special "twist" to the tournamentwas hitting a mini-beach ball out of thetrap on Hole #1. Only one of thefoursome was allowed to make a singleattempt, so there was a lot ofconsultation and discussion about whowould be that person. (Lots ofpressure.) If the ball landed on thegreen, the foursome could deduct onestroke from their overall score. It wasnot as easy as it sounds! Those littleballs were very light and had a mind oftheir own . . .Jill Winchester and her crew,Linda Bialla, Linda Gamble &Robin Van Buren, did a greatjob with the beachy decor &set-up. Chef Eric and ChefJamie made a delicious meal asusual, but the piece deresistance was the coconutcake dessert. There wasprobably not a crumb left on aplate anywhere. The next 9 & Dine will be onSunday, July 14th, and will bethemed "The Olympics." Theshotgun start will be at 3:30. AllOlympic contenders shouldshow up at 3:15 in front of thePro Shop, ready to compete!Niners have begun anotherway to gather and enjoy laughsand camaraderie on the 4thWednesday of every monthwith a "9 & Wine." To sign up,use the very user-friendly appTeamReach, which you candownload from the app store.Participants will meet at 3:00on the first tee for nine holes, followed by a no-host bar. Good luck to our LC Slice Girls as theylook to defend their title from 2023. Our A-team home matches have showcased some high-level tennis. It's been fantastic to see so many faces out to watch the guys playand support us. Be sure to come by for the next home match towatch our top tennis players in action. We are still trying to get everyone to fill out the Member Connectform, which only takes two minutes. This LC Connect form will helpus match you with tennis or pickleball players at your level. It's afantastic way to expand your network and enjoy more games thissummer and beyond. Access Connect Form Serve and volley is an aggressive strategy that puts pressure onyour opponent, much like the classic Wimbledon style of play. Toexecute it effectively, focus on a strong, well-placed serve thatpushes your opponent into a defensive position. Immediately movetowards the net after serving, keeping your racquet up and ready tovolley, aiming to cut off your opponent’s return and finish the pointquickly at the net, reminiscent of the legendary champions likeRafter, Sampras McEnroe on the grass courts of Wimbledon. Words of Wellnesswith jarratT rouseHappy July,I wanted to talk to you all this month about growthsolutions. The premise of my article this month isabout making sure that when you are learning a newskill, enacting change in your life, or improving yourskills, you preemptively give yourself positive solutionoptions in case you hit a roadblock. The easiest way tocontextualize this concept is to explain therelationship between my daughters. Poppy is almosttwo and a half years old, and Tallulah is nearly tenmonths old. They love playing together, but it oftenends in Poppy being too heavy-handed or aggressivetowards Tallulah. Poppy never intends to hurt hersister initially, but it often ends that way. Here iswhere this concept of ‘growth solutions’ comes intoplay. Let’s say Poppy hits Tallulah. It is easy enough forme to say, “No, we do not hit our sister or our friends,”but that doesn’t provide a solution for her to put herenergy into. She is learning to manage and controlendless thoughts and emotions, and if she hears “NO”or “DON’T DO THAT” without any reasoning orguidance, her thoughts will be left to spiral evenfurther. Instead, I like to offer her options or solutionswhen these situations arise. I tell her that if she playswith her sister and becomes overly excited orfrustrated, she can clap her hands or wave her arms inthe air. At the same time, she dances, yells into apillow, or plays the drums on her thighs instead ofputting aggressive energy toward Tallulah. Many morewords and teaching strategies go into theseconversations, but I think this gives the gist of it. If Inever give Poppy a solution for channeling her energy, how would she know what to do when a stressfulsituation arises?Applying this concept to ourlives is simple. It doesn’t matterwhat our growth goals are, butwhat does matter is that we giveourselves action plans or acouple of simple steps to take ifwe hit a challenge along the way.If you have solutions in yourback pocket that are easy toaccess, the growth and retoolingwill happen a lot quicker. If youwant to better your connectionwith your partner, your easyreminder might be to put yourphone down. If you want toimprove your temper, yourreminder might be to take a stepaway and take a deep breath. Ifyou want to exercise more, yourreminder could be to get up andtake a short walk. If you want toimprove your communicationskills, your reminder might be toget 5-10 minutes of reading.Whatever your goals, I amchallenging you to preemptivelyprepare a handful of solutionsfor yourself so that you areready to act positively whenthings seem complicated.Growth SolutionsTHE DIVOT | FITNESSBACK TO CONTENTS
