TECHNIQUE5Silver and gold links are woven by hand, and the finished chain is kneaded and polished. It typically takes up to four hours to weave the chain used in a typical Classic Chain bracelet. These inner surfaces of our jewelry depict scenes from Balinese life and reflect themes from the collections. The traditional technique of hand-hammering metal produces lustrous, textured surfaces.CHAIN WEAVING BACK GRILLE HAMMERING

TECHNIQUE6Carvings, notably featured in the Legends collection, are the epitome of Balinese artistry, highlighting the ability of our artisans to handle the most intricate details. These first come to life in the wax prototypes of our pieces, a method that has been abandoned by many jewelry makers in the digital age but keeps John Hardy jewelry linked to tradition and the artist. Our dedicated gem-setters delicately hand-set gemstones onto our unique creations. Most of this work is done in Bangkok, Thailand, which is a traditional hub of gem trading and expertise.CARVING GEM SETTING

INNOVATION7Our clasps have a trademark “click” that assures the wearer the piece is securely fastened. Every clasp is adorned with hammered silver or gold, gemstones, or motif. This unique design is easy to put on and wear, supported by a slim titanium alloy wire that can flex and regain its shape. Our engineers have introduced modern technical elements for moving parts, such as springs and hinges for durability and comfort. The “kick” function in our hinged cuffs and springs that power it, allow for functionality without compromising the look of a piece.PUSHER CLASP COIL KICK CUFF
