Meet The Team PHOTOGRAPHY Stephanie Jean Stephanie has been photographing weddings since 2009 She has worked with hundreds of couples to achieve their wedding goals and prides herself on the quality of care she puts into every wedding When she s not shooting she s traveling with her amazingly supportive husband Norton and obsessing over dinosaurs and motorcycles You ll also hear her talk about their Sphynx Jubs and Corgidor Hiccup A lot When Andy picked up his first professional camera in 2006 he knew this would be more than a hobby Since that time Andy has photographed and filmed countless couples and weddings sharing their stories through film and photography VIDEOGRAPHY When he is not working you will often find Andy traveling or in the mountains with his camera Andrew Alan 03

There are so many dates payments lists and plans that staying organized is essential If you aren t hiring a wedding planner you may want to consider making a wedding binder Whether physical or digital a wedding binder keeps all of your wedding plans organized Here s the breakdown of each section To Do List Month View This is where you list out all your wedding related tasks It may be overwhelming at first but this will help you track your progress You already hired us for your photography so you are off to a great start Mark all the important wedding related dates Everything from Calendar fittings deadlines and planning goals Try to spread it out so you have enough time for each task if it takes longer than you expect Guest List RSVP Budget Sheet This section starts with the rough draft of your guest list Once you finalize your list start collecting addresses RSVPS and meal preferences You can also use this section to keep track of gifts for thank you letters Here you can list out your budget and actual costs The big budget items are the most obvious but there are also costs for the marriage license postage for invitations and more It adds up so keep track of everything in one place Wedding Map Start with a floor plan of your venue Label tables cake dj guest sign in cards gifts dance floor and food if you re doing buffet The wedding map also helps if you opt for seating arrangements and simplifies decor set up Vendor Contracts In this digital age it s easy to leave the final copy of contracts sitting in your inbox but do yourself a favor Print your final contracts then highlight payment dates and contact information for easy reference Visual Inspiration Pinterest will be your best friend This has all your dream wedding inspiration Find your favorite color scheme must have photo ideas decor hairstyles attire cake ideas and more This will help you clarify your vision and share it with others 05

Handling Stress 1 Finish early Your big day is going to arrive faster than you think Nothing will stress you out more than trying to book vendors last minute or staying up late every night the week before your wedding gluing ribbons onto thank you gifts 2 Ask for help If you re getting married someone loves you and chances are they want to help Whether it s your spouse family friend or vendor ask for assistance if you need it Allocate tasks to break up the to do list 3 Communicate This is a big one Set clear expectations so everyone knows where to be and when Work with your partner and families to create portrait lists and manage deadlines If you re getting help with wedding costs there may be some expectations or requests associated with their support Know your opinions ask for theirs and work together to build a beautiful day 4 Take a break from planning Coordinating an event like this especially one of such personal importance can be overwhelming Step away if needed Do something completely different so you avoid a burnout Rediscover a hobby catch a movie hang out with friends or explore a new place Think about something else 5 Listen to your body It may seem obvious but it needs to be said If you re tired sleep If you re hungry eat Remember to stay happy inside 6 Keep falling in love Go on dates with your partner Put the phone down and make time to genuinely be with them Look through photos Dance Sing Embrace the joy when they call you my fianc e You will get through this together 7 Pamper yourselves This is always a great way to relieve stress Get a massage do a manicure or have a spa day Your partner may be in need of some pampering too but if salons aren t their thing a good meal and rest can do wonders 8 It s YOUR day You ll discover everyone has an opinion about how the day should go Your day should feel like a celebration of you your partner and the love you share 9 Enjoy the moments The wedding planning process has some beautiful moments Dress shopping with your mom or squad writing vows practicing your first dance and so many other happy memories are waiting to be made 10 Look to your partner Your partner probably knows you better than you know yourself and it s their wedding day too You are not alone They know how to make you laugh or calm you down Whatever you need they are a huge part of your support system Lean on them and let them lean on you 07

Getting The Timing Right Already stressing because you re not sure how long things will take We re here to help During your consultation we will create a timeline so you know who needs to be where and when Despite our best efforts sometimes things don t go according to plan People are late for any number of reasons and that can have an impact on the schedule We work hard to keep things running smoothly and capture all those important moments but there are some things you can do to help Make sure everyone knows the plan Give whoever needs it a copy of the FINAL timeline This includes vendors wedding party and family Have all the details outfits accessories decor etc ready to go before the day of your wedding We ve seen a few emergency sock trips 11

Getting Ready What moments do you want to look back on There is so much that happens before the ceremony How will you prepare for the day Are there moments you want captured Some of our brides are surprised to learn that it can take about two hours per person for hair and make up Get there early so you don t feel rushed and can sit back and enjoy these moments leading up to the ceremony We will make sure you get all the shots you re after Venue set up Letter or gift Exchange Something different 15
Take a Peek The First Look The first time your loved ones see you in your wedding attire is a very special moment The first look doesn t have to be with your spouse to be Anyone who loves you is fair game wedding party siblings parents children etc Just let us know if you want one and we will help plan and coordinate it PROS 1 Gives you some privacy during that emotional moment 2 Allows for full wedding party and or family portraits before the ceremony 3 Great Photos CONS 1 Some say it takes away from the intensity of walking down the aisle Maybe a perk 2 Guests may want to be included in that moment 3 If you re superstitious bad luck Tip if You re Torn The Non First Look If you want a special moment alone with your spouse without actually seeing each other the non first look is the way to go Hold hands around a door or wall maybe exchange handwritten letters and feel those moments of anticipation before the ceremony together 16

The Ceremony Have you set a time for your ceremony This is one of the first questions we ask during the timeline consultation Generally the best time to start an evening ceremony is 1 5 hours before sunset This gives you the best lighting for the ceremony and portraits afterward Sunlight conditions vary greatly throughout the year and Texas sunsets can be anywhere from 5 30pm to 9 00pm depending on the season Keep this in mind as you begin planning Another question we will ask is if you are including any special rituals during your ceremony This could be a sand ceremony unity knot readings songs hand fasting original vows candle lighting feet washing Guard of honor bells and so much more We want to hear all about it Go Slow Smile Breathe 18 Ask the officiant 1 To step off to the side during the kiss 2 Announce family stays for portraits after recessional

Family Portraits We don t know the ins and outs of your family like you do Create a list of all the groupings you would like to include This is best done after you get RSVPS typically about one month before your wedding We will help you organize it in the most efficient order so we are moving people and wedding gowns as little as possible while also being mindful of guests who may need special accommodations When you are creating your list of groupings the most helpful way to write it is to include their name AND relationship Example B G B immediate family John Jess Joe B G B immediate family Smith cousins Bob Kayla Angie Bob Jr 20 TIPS FOR FAMILY PORTRAITS 1 Let the people on your list know when they need to be there for portraits 2 Have your officiant remind them to stay if portraits are after the ceremony 3 Send us your initial groupings at least one week before your wedding so we have time to go over it and make adjustments if needed
Pet Portrait Pointers WE LOVE ALL ANIMALS and we know they are a part of the family too It s not surprising so many people want to include them Tell us about your pets Are they wise and mellow or the embodiment of total chaos We can work with any energy level Definitely recommend treats or their favorite toy We can make it work if they need special accommodations to be included such as a quiet space or outdoors if your venue doesn t allow them inside Brides watch out for muddy paws while youre wearing your goergous gowns And yes man s best friend is the most common but cats birds snakes horses hermit crabs chickens and any others are all welcome as long as your venue is okay with it 21

Couple s Portraits Golden or Blue Black White or Night Let s be honest these portraits are some of our favorite moments to shoot just you and your partner looking gorgeous in every shot These are portraits that you will hang on your wall make your profile pictures on social media and they will probably grace the cover of your album if you choose to make one Everyone has a different style preference You may hear the term Golden Hour This is typically about an hour before the sun sets when all the natural light is beautifully diffused and takes on golden tones The less talked about Blue Hour happens about 20 minutes after sunset and creates some equally majestic but cooler tones Does your venue have a lot of string lights that you want to incorporate Or maybe you are a fan of the classic black and white Let us know during your consultations so we can plan accordingly 23

Have you considered these fun reception activities Photo Dash Want to make sure you get a photo with every guest The DJ will explain to your guests that we have the length of one song couple s choice to complete the dash Guests line up on one side of their table while the couple and photographer race safely to get a quick shot with each group We suggest doing this towards the start of reception before the first guests begin heading home Shoe Game The couple sit back to back with two shoes one of theirs and one of their new spouse The DJ or member of the wedding party asks a list of predetermined questions and the couple responds by holding up the appropriate shoe ie Who said I love you first Who is the first to say sorry Google and Pinterest have a ton of ideas for shoe game questions Crazy Hour Glow sticks LED glasses and wands fiber optics fog bubble machines All the fun toys are passed out while an hour of upbeat music plays This is a great way to get guests on the dance floor Annniversary Dance The DJ invites all married couples to the dance floor begins playing a song and dismisses couples by length of marriage beginning of course with the newlyweds until only the longest married couple is on the dance floor We love getting a portrait of both couples together and hearing their wisdom 27
