OKVetWorks HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
It's going to be another GREAT year!
So many things planned and so much more to do!
In our December edition I talked about the importance of company goals and gave you a simple, but detailed way of establishing those goals. As we set the company goals we can't forget about the goals of each person in our organization.
Regardless of the position, there should be individual goals. I believe those goals need to come from the person in the position and also a different set of goals from the owner/manager.
When setting these goals the first step should be a self evaluation. By conducting a self-evaluation the person can see areas that THEY feel need improvement and that becomes one of the goals.
By going through this process it often stimulates additional goals that create even more goals. These goals can be very simple but in the long run they often get a little more difficult in the process of the goal setting.
Once the self-evaluation and goal setting is completed, by the employee, the next step is to review the together (manager and employee). This is the time to tweak those goals to align with the companies goals. This make the employee part of the companies success and future.
As we continue to move forward, here at ODVA (OKVetWorks Program) I personally have a goal of assisting hundreds more VOBs before the end of 2023. Another one of my personal goals, for the program, is to reach more industries. Construction/contracting and other services are the largest types of VOB. I would love to get more in the production of products. The more we can expand products the more even the service industry can increase.
TOGETHER WE WILL MAKE OKLAHOMA KNOWN FOR IT'S VETERAN OWNED BUSINESSES!!
