These are items on which you should get started while you are awaiting your visa appointment date and/or receipt of your visa. If you have not already done so, please access your @bsu.edu email account and choose a new password:You will receive information in your @bsu.edu email regarding the GlobalBSU portal. This portal is where you will provide the required information for us to create your I-20 or DS-2019. Your @bsu.edu email is the primary form of communication for information about Ball State University. It is very important you are able to access your account and that you check it often. Your username and password will also be used for access to other important resources, such as housing, student nancial services, and GlobalBSU. HEALTH REQUIREMENTSHealth requirements for students at Ball State University exist primarily to protect the student body as a whole from infectious disease. If you have a record showing you received the required vaccines as a child, have your doctor complete the Ball State Student Health Form linked below. If you have no record of receiving these vaccines as a child, your doctor will need to provide you with the vaccines listed on Page 1 of the health form to fulll Ball State’s vaccine requirements.To help you prepare for your time here, please note these important and mandatory vaccination requirements.DOWNLOAD HEALTH FORMPlease email your completed and signed form to healthcenter@bsu.edu. HOUSING & DININGAll students who live on-campus during the academic year are required to select a meal plan. You can select your preferred meal plan when you complete your housing contract online. Please note: the 21 meal plan is selected by default if you do not specify a meal plan on your housing contract. To learn more about housing supplies and dining, click on the images below. As part of your next steps, please be sure you complete your housing contract online (if you haven’t already done so). Below you will nd information about the various campus housing and dining options available to you.RESIDENCE HALLS:Required for underclassman but open to everyone5Ball State oers several dining locations across campus with meal options for everyone’s tastes. You’re never more than a few steps away from an incredible variety of dining options at Ball State and our exible meal plans are designed to t your needs. You can choose a meal plan that provides 10, 14, 18, or 21 meals per week. You will also receive a debit-style Dining Plus account which provides added exibility in how you purchase meals and snacks.As you prepare to move to campus, please note that your room will not come with sheets, towels, or comforters. Our beds are also longer than beds at home, so regular sheets will not t our specially sized beds. Don’t worry—Ball State oers linens and other housing supplies you may need. HOUSING CONTINUEDAs you prepare to move to campus, please note that we oer both unfurnished and furnished apartments for upperclassman and graduate students. Please check out our University Apartments requirements for more details. Meal plans are optional for students choosing to live in the University Apartments. If you would like to add a meal plan, you can do so when you complete your housing contract online.NEED FURNISHING? NO PROBLEM!If you are looking for furnishings for your apartment, Ball State oers a variety of rental packages through our vendor, CORT, that you can use to complete your living room, bedroom, study, or patio area. ID PHOTOS & MyBSUID PHOTOPlease consider sending a photo for your ID card in advance. It is important you upload your photo and obtain your ID card as soon as possible, since it is critical to obtaining services such as access to residence hall and dining services when you arrive on campus. This is where you’ll access your Ball State Outlook email, Self-Service Banner, Canvas, and other tools to manage your classes, nancial account, technology needs, and other student services (including proxy access for family mem-bers and/or sponsors).
