A Letter from the Executive Directors One year ago we were offered the position of Co Executive Directors of the Hamilton Education Foundation The objective given to us was to take the Foundation to the next level Our Foundation has been in existence since 1992 We saw the need to honor our history while staying true to our mission statement We wanted to move forward with new and innovative ideas while maintaining the programs that have sustained us for over 30 years We started small by updating our policies and procedures We looked at Education Foundations in the area to see what we could incorporate We then examined all facets of our Foundation to see what we could improve upon We set some lofty goals Update our grant processes Be more visible to our district and the community Raise more money for teachers and students The new grant process has been slow to implement but as of this report it is up and running Both applicants and reviewers should have a more streamlined experience To be more visible to the district and community we started a digital newsletter theGive and updated our website Both provide information on events and grants we awarded The Foundation also sponsored six events open to the public Our fundraising had a banner year We hosted the most successful gala in our history Our new Winter Blast event for the younger kids was very well attended and our job fair continues to be popular with businesses in the area We were able to give away over 100 000 to teachers and students This is a record for us Looking back over the year we are proud of our accomplishments but we did not do this alone We have a board of dedicated trustees all volunteers who give their time and energy to help improve our Foundation school district and community We are grateful to each of them for trusting us as we navigate the HEF in a new direction As we continue our forward momentum we would like to thank all the people and businesses who supported the Foundation with sponsorships volunteering and attending our events We truly could not do this without all of you Thank you again for your support of the Hamilton Education Foundation Kristen Kidd Julie Carpenter 2 Mission Our mission in partnership with the community is to fund Enhanced Extended and Enriched learning opportunities for students and educators in the Hamilton School District Executive Committee Co Executive Director Kristen Kidd Co Executive Director Julie Carpenter Chair Scott Wellens Vice Chair Dan Muehlenbach Treasurer Tom Seiler Secretary Kristin Licklider Board of Trustees Ken Ezrow Fritz Kidd M D Kirk Langenkamp Greg Treichel Sarah Viera School District Liaison Paul Mielke Ph D

Hamilton Education Foundation is a non proft foundation supporting the Hamilton School District which consists of 8 schools Willow Pre K Marcy Elementary Lannon Elementary Woodside Elementary Maple Elementary Silver Spring Intermediate Templeton Middle School and Hamilton High School Our foundation s goal is to fund raise and offer opportunities for students and teachers to apply for grants to assist in their goals and dreams TEACHER GRANTS Project 360 Grants up to 360 are available at the beginning of the school year to help teachers prep their classrooms New Horizons Grant Grants up to 750 are available for unique innovative classroom projects Excel Grant Grants from 751 and up are available to fund Cultural or Educational projects and equipment and or resource costs for the classroom Technology Grant Grants from 751 and up are available to fund technology projects and or equipment for the classroom or for a course of study Grants for the Arts Grants from 751 and up are available for enrichment programs in the Arts These may include artists in residence artists from outside the school district programs and projects that will enrich the learning experiences of students in all areas of the arts curriculum including performances in the Hamilton Fine Arts Center Educator Enrichment AKA STEPS Grants up to 1 500 are available for off campus seminars workshops and conferences Maximum of three grants a year per per teacher STUDENT GRANTS Ventures in Education Grant A grant of up to 1 500 is available to fund students traveling for an educational experience during the school year This grant is not for summer enrichment projects see STARS Grants for Students Students Taking Advantage of Renewal in Summer STARS Grants for students are available to students in K 11 for off campus enrichment programs for the summer time only HEF Wrezic Scholarship HEF in conjunction with the Wrezic Family is proud to offer scholarships to graduating Hamilton High School seniors Marjorie Wrezic impressed with the quality of the education her grandchildren received in our district established this scholarship in 2013 through the Hamilton Education Foundation to honor the memory of her husband Ralph Wrezic NEW in 2023 2 scholarships will be given to students looking to pursue a career in the Trades Up to 7 scholarships awarded annually 4000 renewable for a second year GO TO HamiltonEducationFoundation org to learn more or apply 8
