We are grateful for the support we receivedthis year from area businesses, organizationsand countless individuals who support ourmission and understand that babies and youngchildren need diapers and wipes every day. It isnot optional and if families are struggling tomeet this basic need, together we need to stepup and help them. Together we can continue toinspire hope and change.Thank you for your continued support.
2022 was an eventful year for Babies ofHomelessness. We welcomed new voices to ourteam and board, expanded our services, streamlined our processes, and improved ourorganization in many ways. We also reached abittersweet milestone when we delivered our 1millionth total diaper. This moment showed justhow great of a positive impact we have on familiesin our region, but was also a clear sign that diaperneed continues to swell. With this ever-increasing need in mind, expandingaccess to our services was an important theme in2022. FROM OUREXECUTIVEDIRECTORMaking it simple for families to obtain basic needshas always been our goal, with direct delivery and“no red tape” setting us apart. This year, we addedfamily pickup to that list: clients can now meet ourvan at strategically located pickup spots to receivetheir monthly supply of diapers, always withinreach of public transit. This has allowed us tobroaden our boundaries and serve hundreds morefamilies than direct delivery alone.Another theme of 2022: sweeping change amongour staff and board. Babies of Homelessnessadded five new board members, each offering theirown unique experience, story, and connection toour community. The diversity of voices on ourboard is now one of our greatest assets. We alsobrought on board our first intern - a former BoHclient who was inspired to use her personalexperience to support families in the communityfacing hardship as she had. Continued on next page.
PLAY VIDEOFinally, we had a change at the Executive Directorposition; while transitions like this presentchallenges for a small non-profit, our former ED,Brittan Stockert, left us with a healthy organizationthat was set up for success. What lies ahead for BoH? We will expand access toour services even further by better communicatingwith non-English speakers and adding family pick-up locations. We will develop additionalpartnerships, especially in underserved areas inSnohomish and South King County. As always, we will listen closely to what ourcommunity and clients are telling us they need, andact to serve them accordingly. We will also continueto take important steps to ensure we supportdiversity, inclusion, and equity in all things we do. Of course, none of this is possible without thegenerous support of our volunteers and donors. Withso many nonprofits to choose from, it’s amazing thatso many share their resources with BoH.Your supportmeans a lot, and reinforces our dedication to thismission. With gratitude,
