Directions1.) I took a few writing courses in high school and considered college and acareer in writing, but decided to go to nursing school instead. I didn'trealize writing a novel was on my bucket list. Stalking the AuthorEIE: I can say I have read the first book in theDarkness Awakens series and thoroughlyenjoyed it. How much of Darkness Awakens isrealistic?KC: Well, now, that's a loaded question. Myhusband has a lot of influence. My best friend hasequal influence. That's a story for another day(wink). In Darkness Awakens, Demien is a mix ofmy husband and my best friend. It's all about thelook with my husband. Demien has that speciallook in his eyes for Vanessa in which my husbandafter almost 20 years still has for me. The orneryhalf-smile belongs to my husband. The musicaladditions are due to my friend. As his fingerspluck the guitar, his spirit goes to a magical placeonly he knows.

EIE: Is there a message you’re trying to convey toyour audience?KC: My work leans toward exciting and dramatic.If  an  author  doesn't  catch  me  quickly,  I'll  fallasleep.  I  can't  have  you falling  asleep.  I  weavehints  of  phycological  underlining  andforeshadowing  so  far  hidden  within  the  wordsthat it takes the  reader many times  of rereadingto piece it all together. My books are an obsessionto the reader. If one skims and is distracted, theyfeel Vanessa is a damsel in distress. If the readerpays close  attention,  they begin to  realize thatthere is way more to Vanessa. She will shock theworld. Hang tight as all will be revealed.Stalking the Author

Stalking the AuthorEIE: If you had to do it all over again, would youchange anything about your most recentmanuscript?KC: Of course. I originally released A Night at Nyxas a soft launch for certain readers. Although it wasdone, something bothered me. Something wasmissing. I couldn't get over the feeling so I sat on itfor a bit, and then "pulled" it (unpublished). I didn'tfeel there was enough... something. I sat on it askingbeta readers what they thought. In the meantime, Igained a new friend. She offered to read it. I told herwhat I thought was missing and she loved the idea.As I simmered on it, I figured out exactly what Ineeded. I let my new friend help create the missingpiece (a new character). She was overexcited tocontribute the name of the character. This sexy andexciting multi-genre erotica will be released in 2021with the added character, more sexy scenes, and somuch more psychologically thrilling. I just have tosay how sexy the cover turned out. It's SEXY! I'mreally proud of my graphic designer. He carried overmy love for hints. In the invitation there arepersonal touches. Can you guess the meaning?

EIE: Authors are constantly learning andimproving their craft. What did you learn whilewriting DA?KC: I've learned so much from my first book, and Ikeep learning with every book. If you're notlearning, you're not growing. One thing I havelearned is that not everyone is cut out to be anauthor. Creating strong storylines. charactersand worlds. Luckily, I am too obsessive to nothave that check list and more in my tool box.Admittedly, my fans must be patient. I don’tproduce crap in a hurry. I quadruple check myWIPs. I take my time and ensure its a strongstories.Stalking the Author

Stalking the AuthorEIE: Awesome! Do you have any advice foraspiring writers?KC: Your book will never be perfect. Do the bestyou can, get really great editors (well worth theinvestment), listen to those editors, fix theissues and move the hell on.EIE: Yes, edits are very important. From areader’s perspective, knowing the differencebetween There, They’re, and Their, can make orbreak the rhythm of any story. Is there anythingspecific you would like to tell your readers?KC: I work hard to write good books and createlayered and interactive storylines. The more youread, the more secrets and clues you reveal, butthe reader must pay attention. My books neverhave an "expected" ending. I always push theenvelope.

Stalking the AuthorEIE: Imagine a future where you never put down asingle word. What do you envision you would be doing?KC: My life is too busy to write already as I enjoy beingamidst a street race as I fuck the driver.EIE: Okay, moving along.KC: What? You’ve never fucked behind the wheel?(shoulder shrug).EIE: Wait wasn't that in A Night at Nyx?KC: In fact, it was.EIE: So does that mean the scene is a real lifeexperience?KC: I would never kiss and tell.EIE: Hmmm... I think I need to read that scene again.

Stalking the AuthorEIE: Do you enjoy TV shows or Movies? What aresome you’re currently binge watching or obsessedwith?KC: I have to give it to Schitts Creek, because ithad me laughing so hard I fell off my bed. I was afan before it was cool. I love documentaries abouthistory (not world wars history), mysteries,murders, and science. I watched a documentaryon Netflix about people who believe the Earth isflat (FlatEarthers or something like that). Canyou even imagine going backwards in thinkingand advancement? Apparently, NASA is lyingabout the shape of the Earth. I found itparticularly hilarious when the experiments theydid to prove the Earth is flat proved the exactopposite and still they were not convinced. Theywere going to try to experiment again, but thenew experiment wasn’t covered in thedocumentary; therefore, I didn’t get to see thegroundbreaking results. Inquiring minds mustknow...
