Thisincludes overseeing billing processes, handlingcollections, maintaining accurate financial records. There are also employees that work in the TrustDepartment that managing the resident trust funds,which are vital for their personal finances of thoseliving at IVH. Although the majority of the employees in thisdepartment operate behind the scenes, their dailytasks are essential for the smooth functioning of thefacility. They ensure that all financial transactionscomply with regulations and standards, which iscritical for maintaining transparency and trust withresidents and their families. New IDVA DirectorJake AdamsA native of Carroll County, Jacob “Jake” Adams is a proudIndiana University graduate and a dedicated public servant.With over nine years of active-duty service in the UnitedStates Marine Corps, Jake served as an Avionics Managerand Recruiter, completing assignments around the world,including combat deployments in support of OperationEnduring Freedom.Following his military service, Jake returned to Indiana towork in the family business and, in 2014, founded IndianaMarketing Group. His passion for economic and workforcedevelopment led him to serve as the Director of BusinessServices for the Region 4 Workforce Board, ExecutiveDirector of Carroll County Economic Development, and aWorkforce Development Consultant for Ivy TechCommunity College.Jake has dedicated his career to community service,believing that a strong community starts with its people. This quarter’s newsletter is dedicated in the Memory of Eric AndersonOctober 13, 1959 ~ February 3, 2025Eric served our Country honorably in the United StatesArmy for 23 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Whileserving in the Army he completed his college degree andearned a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from CentralTexas College. After retiring from the Army he was Senior Military ScienceInstructor in the Army ROTC program at PurdueUniversity. He taught there for nearly nine years positivelyinfluencing the lives of numerous cadets.He ended his retirement working at the Indiana VeteransHome in the Facility Maintenance Department. Eric tookpride in serving his fellow veterans and let them know theystill matter to our Country. Not only did he help providecomfortable living conditions, he also ministered to themoral support of staff, as well as the residents.After a very brave fight, Eric passed away peacefully in thepresence of loved ones. You are missed by many. Rest in peace, Eric! The tank was builtwith generous donations to our food pantry. Thank you everyone for all your help in making thispossible. We were able to add 1,515 items to our food pantry. As a reminder, our food pantry is located on Dewey 2 and isavailable to all staff, contracted staff, and agency staff.
