Technologies that benefit people and the environment Improved People Satisfaction The introduction of cleaning cobots allows our team to concentrate their efforts on higher value and less repetitive tasks By handling some of the most monotonous work cobots improve job satisfaction and resilience in our team Introducing cleaning cobots We invest in the best cleaning equipment the industry has to offer For us that means equipment that achieves great cleaning results while reducing our environmental impact In the past years we have increased our use of highly efficient equipment such as i Drives and i Mops and other cobotic cleaning machines Our cobots work alongside our people handling repetitive and monotonous tasks such as large area cleaning They are not a substitute for cleaning teams but they can augment them increasing their resilience and capacity The cobots that we have invested in achieve high cleaning standards without harsh chemicals and using up to 80 less water than traditional cleaning methods They use smart mapping systems to take the most energy efficient cleaning path and can work in the dark further reducing energy consumption The data captured by our cobots support evidence based cleaning and the development of valuable insights for planning Clean water for all For every litre of water used in an i mop the Made Blue Foundation provides a litre of drinking water to those in need They have already provided over 1 2 million litres of clean drinking water 4 B I D V E S T N O O N A N C L E A N I N G S O L U T I O N S 5

Reducing water usage Reusing thousands of litres of water each year Bidvest Noonan is helping many clients to reduce their use of water and make cleaning operations more environmentally friendly by installing a simple to use water recycling system These systems can make a significative impact on the water usage to cleaning universities shopping centres corporate buildings healthcare facilities and many more Comac InAqua is an external purification system that allows dirty water to be loaded directly from any floor scrubber The system filters the dirty water used for cleaning and makes it available for reuse The polluting substances are automatically collected and made easy for disposal Some of the benefits of this game changer system are reduction in water consumption reduction in costs connected to the use of clean water reduction in costs connected to managing wastewater easy to use due to an intuitive display that allows interaction with the machine quick and simple installation and easy to move mobile unit on wheels More Sustainable Carpet Upholstery Cleaning Our Industrial Cleaning business has specialists to clean large areas quicker teams in professional carpet and upholstery cleaning of high capacity seating venues and It not only optimises operation time but provides mass carpeted areas such as cinemas theatres a more sustainable method of cleaning carpet offices and local health authority properties and upholstery The system reduces our impact on the planet by collecting all wastewater and Up to 150 litres of clean water can be created from dirty water in just 30 minutes Bidvest Noonan has invested in dedicated returning it to a dedicated tank fitted in the van truck mount systems manned by a team of This wastewater is then pre filtered to remove professional people with coverage all across synthetic fibre and other non biodegradable the UK Ireland materials The wastewater is then correctly disposed in a sanitary sewage system The TruckMount Hydramaster system allows our people to work more efficiently especially 8 B I D V E S T N O O N A N C L E A N I N G S O L U T I O N S 9

Saying no to single use plastics Continuous improvements to reduce our waste Plastic pollution has become one of the most important environmental concerns in recent years with production increasing at such a rate that it is becoming impossible to cope Single use plastics account for 40 percent of the plastic produced every year and can persist in the environment for hundreds of years That is why we are determined to remove single use plastics from our business Reducing our use of premixed ready to use cleaning chemicals is a key initiative to achieve this We estimate this will enable us to remove c90 of our plastic chemical containers and remove c80 000 single use plastic bottles per year We are substantially increasing our use of concentrated chemicals and dilution control systems These concentrated chemicals are already widely used throughout the business Humans use about 1 2 million plastic bottles per minute in total Approximately 91 of plastic is not recycled Roughly half of our global annual plastic production is destined for a single use product EarthDay org and operate in various sectors and environments very successfully By procuring our chemicals in a highly concentrated format we can dramatically cut the amount of plastic and cardboard used together with reducing the frequency of deliveries having a significant impact on our carbon emissions Our sophisticated dilution control systems manage concentrations to precisely deliver the right dilution rate 10 B I D V E S T N O O N A N C L E A N I N G S O L U T I O N S 11
