HOW TO S PARKING TRANSPORTATION Commuter students have the following parking options Free Parking at Cajun Field Commuters have the option to select the free commuter parking permit and ride the UL Lafayette transit buses to campus Students should arrive at Cajun Field at least 45 minutes before class Buses start running at 7 00 AM Monday Friday Click here to see the transit schedule This permit does not allow for night parking on campus See Night Permit information below for parking on campus after 3 00 PM Girard Park Circle Parking Tower Permit This on campus parking permit may be purchased through ULink for 325 per semester permits must be renewed each semester This location offers 900 guaranteed permit parking spaces on floors three through six These do sell out quickly due to the fixed number of parking spaces for this area Hourly Parking in the Girard Park Circle Parking Tower Hourly parking is available on floors one and two Payment debit credit only must be made at the kiosks located near the elevators and stairs The price is 5 for 1 minute to 120 minutes and 1 per 60 minutes thereafter Night Permits Commuters have the option to purchase these permits for 25 per semester permits must be renewed each semester Parking access for these permits will begin at 3 00 pm in non gated lots and 4 30 pm for many gated lots Monday Friday Handicap Parking Visitor Parking Any individual who requires special accommodations for handicap parking on campus should contact the Office of Transportation Services and provide appropriate state issued credentials in order to obtain a handicap parking permit Guests may park on levels one and two of the Girard Park Circle Parking Tower Accepted methods of payment include debit and credit cards Cash checks and Cajun Card are not accepted The price is 5 for 1 minute to 120 minutes and 1 per 60 minutes thereafter Vehicles in handicap spots without displaying the proper state issued credentials will face a 300 citation from the University and may be immobilized or towed at the owner s expense If immobilized a 100 fine is added to the balance due and all fines must be paid prior to removal The Girard Park Circle Parking Tower is the only hourly parking on campus available to visitors Free 30 minute parking is available in the side lot of the Student Union View a map of the parking areas on campus
HOW TO S PARKING TRANSPORTATION What You Need To Register For Parking Live Bus Tracking Transportation Services utilizes virtual parking permits and LPR license plate recognition for enforcement Decals and hangtags are not issued License plate recognition software is used to identify parking privileges in all locations When registering for parking on campus it is imperative that the plate number is entered correctly When registering you will need All buses are equipped with tracking devices that allow students to see live information on bus locations Download the official UL Lafayette app and select Track Buses Select the type of route you would like and you will see all buses on that particular route along with all stops associated with it You can get estimated times of arrival for any of the stops Bicycle Information Student ULID Phone number Home address Assigned housing community if an oncampus resident License plate number and state of issue Vehicle year color make and model Important Parking Reminders Parking regulations remain in place 24 hours a day 7 days a week Any parked vehicle must be registered with the University or parked in the Girard Park Circle Parking Tower s first or second floor with time paid A vehicle may be immobilized or towed after it has accumulated three unpaid citations Campus Shuttle The University provides transportation from the main campus to the satellite facilities of Bourgeois Hall and Cajun Field During the school year these shuttles run continuously from 7 AM to 8 PM Monday Thursday and 7 AM to 3 PM on Friday Night shuttles are available from 8 PM to 10 PM Monday Thursday and 3 PM to 8 15 PM on Friday by calling 337482 5305 UL Lafayette is a bike friendly campus offering special bike lanes on St Mary Blvd and multiple bike racks across campus All bikes on campus must comply with state requirements and regulations Students must have lights and reflective materials on their bikes and should only ride on streets and not sidewalks Read more about the Rules of the Road for bicycles and be sure to have your student register their bike Other rules include Bicycles must be secured to a bike rack Individuals are encouraged to use a U bolt lock as they are the most secure Bicycles cannot be secured to handrails fences trash receptacles trees trip rails sign posts or anything other than a bike rack Bicycles not properly secured to a bike rack will be impounded by Transportation Services Bicycles that remain in bicycle racks or other places 7 days after the end of the semester will be impounded by Transportation Services Bicycles that remain unclaimed for 6 months will be disposed of according to State of Louisiana rules and regulations
