If Lee Hall does not oer the services your student needs, the sta here knows exactly where to send them. Lee Hall is a very important location that your student should be familiar with throughout their time at UL. Lee Hall is located in sections C6, D6 on the University’s campus map.Oce of First-Year ExperienceOFYE is the one oce on campus that is solely dedicated to assisting the University’s freshman class. We direct the transition into UL with UNIV 100, a three credit-hour course designed to help rst-year UL students successfully transition from high school to University life and academic work. UNIV 100 course components: 1. Cajun Connection: a one-day, extended introduction to UL, the campus community, and University-level work.2. First-Year Seminar: een weeks during a scheduled class timeOFYE will be hosting Freshman Week from August 18-25 to help make your student’s rst week on campus fun, educational, and welcoming. Freshman Week events include movie nights, informational sessions, mixers, and more! In the Spring, OFYE puts on the Freshman Finale to help your student celebrate the end of a successful rst year at UL. OFYE also houses The Big Event, a community service organization that has organized over 12,500 student volunteers to help the Lafayette community since its creation in 2013.

HOW TO’S LEE HALLAcademic Success Center:The Academic Success Center (ASC) is the leading resource on campus for students who need help performing up to the academic standards in the college classroom. To aid students academically, ASC oers free tutoring through The Learning Center, located on the second oor of Lee Hall. The Learning Center strives to ensure that all students succeed academically by oering individual tutoring, study groups, online tutoring, and supplemental instruction. Beyond free tutoring, the Academic Success Center also oers a number of administrative services to students. If your student gets to UL Lafayette and decides to change their major, or wants to talk through the option of doing so, counselors are readily available. If a student decides to drop a class with a “W”, the ASC is the rst place that they should visit. The ASC also oers recurring workshops for students throughout the semester. HOW TO’S LEE HALLDocumentation of Credit at OrientationOcial reports or transcripts of any credit earned from another institution must be submitted to UL in order to have the credits transferred. Please keep in mind that processing of credit can take time. Sometimes, a student’s credit from another institution is still being processed by the time they attend Orientation, so the credit is not yet reected on their UL transcript. To ensure that your student has an accurate academic advising session, please remind them to bring printed, unocial copies of their transcripts to Orientation. College, AP, & CLEP CreditDual Enrollment Credit cannot be awarded based on a high school transcript. Students must submit an ocial college transcript to receive university credit. College transcripts can be sent to etranscripts@louisiana.edu or can be mailed to the UL Lafayette Oce of Admissions at P.O. Box 41210 Lafayette, LA 70504. AP & CLEP Credit must be provided by the organization itself, not students or parents. Visit those respective websites to request that the credits be sent to UL Lafayette. Advance Credit ExamsStudents who meet certain eligibility requirements have the opportunity to take Advance Credit Exams to attempt to earn credit for UL Lafayette courses. To view a list of the exams oered, click here. Math Placement, Credit, and TestingEvery degree program at the University requires a minimum of 6 credit hours of math.
