Dear Friends and Family,God moved in powerful ways through Hope Ignited in 2014! We believe the work we do is unique - we bring hope to the people of Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Guatemala through partnerships with local leaders who are attuned to their community's needs. We have found our eorts are most eective when we address the need that is presented by the local community, whether it is a smokeless stove, a school, a new home for a widow, a clinic, or medical supplies during a crisis, rather than bringing our own predetermined solutions. Working hand-in-hand with local leaders, we are better able to serve the people in these communities and delivery truly valuable services to those in desperate need.As you read through our Annual Report for 2014, we hope that you will under-stand that we are only able to accomplish so much because of your generous support. We want to thank you for your prayers and financial contributions in 2014 and invite you to continue to support Hope Ignited in 2015In Christ,Chuck Jamison, Executive DirectorHope Ignited"God is using Hope Ignited inunique and significant ways to help bring the light of hope to some very dark places on our planet”Bob Cloyd, DevelopmentDirector, Hope IgnitedGuatemalaGuinea/Sierra Leone

2014 Accomplishments45,000Tracts of “The Gift”gospel message distributed"If we are ever going to see long-term solutions to world poverty, I believe it will come through starting and maintaining productive and profitable businesses." Wayne GrudemFamilies in Guatemala often cook meals over an open flame inside their homes causing eye and lung damage. Local doctors report this is the number one complaint they treat in their clinics, and that children frequently sustain burns from falling into fires. Hope Ignited builds smokeless stoves for families at a cost of $250 per stove, which lowers the incidence of disease and improved safety in the home. Guatemalan resident and orphan, Marcela was living in a 10' and 15' borrowed room, raising her five siblings and her two children. Hope Ignited built her family a new home in which the family can continue to grow and thrive.

Our goal is for the initial group of women - a-train-the trainer business model.During their sewing classes, the women participate in Bible studies led by one of our local leaders. In San Jose Pinula, Guatemala, the mayor express the need for a fire truck that could server the 65,000 residents in his municipali-ty. Hope Ignited partnered with the city of Tyler, Texas, to provide a retired fire truck in November. The truck has quickly become the "envy of Guatemala" according to the mayor sans was featured in their annual parade.

We led five mission trips to Guinea, Sierra Leone, Guatemala, and Israel in 2014. Participants helped us build smokeless stoves and homes, make improvements in school buildings, conduct medical clinics, and deliver much needed school supplies. They helped us educate pastors, teach women to sew to support their families, and train firefighters to use the donated truck and equipment. All of this work was accomplished while growing their faith and producing a renewed sense of what is truly important."Hope is catching on in Guinea. Seeing the nationals take ownership and make improvements to the schools we helped to jump start is huge. It is community trans-formation one neighborhood at a time."Chuck Jamison, Executive Director, Hope Ignited39Mission TripParticipantsAt the request of the President of Guinea, Hope Ignited procured and shipped school buses and school supplies to the capital city of Conarkry. The buses will be utilized to help begin a regional transportation system and the school supplied were distributed amongst our church schools.5School Busesdelivered to Guinea

6Schools built in West Africa and Guatemala“Education is the least expensive, most eective way to break the cycle of poverty.”Chuck Jamison, Executive Director, Hope IgnitedINTELLECTUALHope Ignited builds desperately needed schools in poverty stricken areas in Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Guatemala. Children who might not have had any education are given a vision for how they might build a better life for themselves, their families, and their communities. This vision produces hope and hope produces real change. We have a total of five schools in West Africa and one in Guatemala that are all fully self-sustaining and highly functional. The first was build for only $3000 and has edu-cation hundreds of children. Our school perform better on national exams than most government-sponsored schools in the area, and many of our students come from the poorest families in their communities. Their enthusiasm for learning is life-changing.

SPIRITUAL150PastorsTrained11Baptisms froma one-day eventWe also purchased and delivered a computer, projector, and Bible software to our friend, Pastor Karim Koroma, in Guinea. These tools have allowed him to plan out-reach events throughout the region winning hearts for Christ.Pastor education is thankfully a growing need in the communities we serve due to the growing number of churches. Hope Ignited conducted Pastor’s Conferences in West Africa in March and in Guatemala in December reaching more than 150 pastors with Biblical teaching. With his new equipment, Pastor Karim held an event in Kindia, Guinea, that was attended by 75 people. The following day, 11 new believers were baptized in a local river.

PHYSICAL1,600Patients served at medical clinics in GuatemalaHope Ignited continues to address the physical needs of communities in West Africa and Guatemala in many ways. We conduct medical clinics alongside local physicians, provide much needed medical supplies, build smokeless stoves, and install solar lights into homes. We sponsored five medical clinics in Gua-temala in 2014 that provided basic care to those who could not otherwise aord to see a doctor. At all of our clinics, we worked alongside local physicians to strengthen relationships and address the local needs in a culturally thoughtful way. We are now partnering with the mayor to sponsor a local clinic that will be staed full time by local physicians, which will serve the poorest families in the area. Hope Ignited will also utilize this facility for future clinics.“Hope Ignited is boldly stepping forward to be the hands of Christ in Latin America and West Africa. It is a thrill to sit at the table and fee God’s Spirit as Hope Ignited sta share their vision of love for the least of His people. My wife and I are blessed to support Bob and the mission of Hope Ignited.”

When the Ebola Virus ravaged West Africa, Hope Ignited responded by send-ing a container of medical supplies to the Ministry of Health. These supplies were distributed to local physicians and nurses who were on the frontline caring for aected patients, ensuring the medical providers were protected as they worked tirelessly to help end the outbreak. A second container of supplies is over half full and will be shipped to West Africa in the coming months.Homes in the poorest areas of Guatemala are little more than cardboard and corrugated metal and without electricity. Hope Ignited engineered our very own version of “solar” light using a 2-liter plastic bottle filled with water and installed into the roof. These lights provide the equivalent brightness of a 60 watt light bulb and last for up to eight years. An otherwise very dark home becomes brighter, allowing for more productivity as well as safety.“Where are you needed and what does God what you to do? If each one of us touches one other life and you look at that multiplier eect, transformation is possible.”Chuck Jamison, Executive Director, Hope Ignited

HISTORYHope Ignited began in response to a vision. In 2001, Chuck Jamison met lsmael and Surata Keita, immigrants from Guinea, at Grace Community Church in Tyler, Texas, where he served as pastor. lsmael shared his vision of establishing a bakery in Conakry, Guinea, that would provide jobs to both Christian and Muslim workers and serve as a means for outreach in his community. In 2002, Chuck created Pan de Vie (Bread of Life), a 501 {c)3 organization, that raised funds to purchase equipment for the new bakery. In the following years, Pan de Vie formed partnerships with other community lead-ers in Guinea and together we conducted annual pastor training conferences, opened Christian schools, hosted medical clinics, and provided food and supplies to the local prison. During this time, the name of the organization was changed to Hope Ignited to better encompass the work we were performing. Our outreach continues in communities throughout West Africa. In 2010, Hope Ignited expanded its global influence through a partnership with Oscar and Amy Garcia, native Guatemalans who returned to their village to perform community outreach. Alongside the Garcia's and other local leaders, Hope Ignited built housing for widows in need, opened a school for street children, designed and built smokeless stoves, held pastor training conferences, and hosted medical clinics. Our outreach continues to grow and thrive in San Jose Pinula, Guatemala, today.Hope Ignited is driven by the vision of bringing hope to West Africa and Guatemala by meeting the physical, intellectual, and spiritual needs of the communities. It is through this vision that relationships are born and nurtured, communities and people are empowered, hope is realized, and Christ is made known. Hope Ignited exists to bring God's light of hope to some of the very darkest places on earth. That is ultimately our reason for being.
