Welcome to CATT Ministries Foundation Big Buck Boot Camp a 501 c 3 not for profit organization whose God given mission is to offer a venue where youth veterans the disabled and terminally ill can experience nature while enjoying a full range of outdoor sporting activities and programs created to emphasize sharing wellness learning and exploring in a context that has been carefully planned for safety enjoyment and camaraderie Besides offering unique hunting and fishing experiences we regularly host other non profit organizations and groups for their outings events seminars camps tournaments fund raisers and essentially anything connected to outdoor recreation or agriculture Our grounds and facilities are uniquely designed to foster team building and similar positive objectives in an outdoor setting One of CATT Big Buck Boot Camp s locations is Presnell Plantation a carefully crafted southern style working livestock ranch row crop farm outdoor sporting and educational retreat nestled in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana Exhibiting the Presnell trademark the Camp s meticulously designed grounds which include fully stocked lakes native prairie grasses and wildflowers wildlife food plots tree plantings wooded countryside and master drainage plans provide unforgettable outdoor experiences We offer a full range of recreational activities that includes upland game and deer hunting fishing sporting clays 3D archery hiking and camping with equipment and facilities for those who have accessibility requirements Another one of CATT Big Buck Boot Camps locations is a former Military Base The U S Army purchased Jefferson Proving Grounds JPG consisting of 55 000 acres in S E Indiana in 1941 from local farmers for a munitions testing facility The base was closed in 1995 and the south 4 300 acres were privatized Its boundaries expand into three separate counties of Jefferson Jennings and Ripley giving a wide variety of beautiful scenery and historic preservation Inside its vast fenced area Jefferson Proving Grounds boasts an abundance of various wildlife species including trophy deer turkey woodcock quail waterfowl coyote and bobcat There are also numerous creeks ponds caves and a 180 acre lake with excellent fishing opportunities Not far from its main gate is the scenic Ohio River with miles of beauty and vast fishing opportunities CATT Big Buck Boot Camp currently manages the 4 300 acre privatized area of Jefferson Proving Grounds which gives youth our veterans the disabled and the terminally ill a chance to experience world class hunting and fishing opportunities as a part of our Programs We have special transport vehicles stands blinds and adaptive equipment for those who have accessibility requirements 1

In God We Trust Big Buck Boot Camp is a 4 300 acre Hunt Camp located at Jefferson Proving Ground South JPGS A former Military Base in Madison Indiana CATT Big Buck Boot Camp is professionally managed by and as a part of CATT Ministries Foundation a 501 C 3 not for profit charitable organization Our Mission is to honor our Youth Veterans Persons with disabilities or terminal illness and those in full time Ministry by providing an unforgettable outdoor experience Big Buck Boot Camp is blessed with an incredible deer and turkey population This wild game population along with our access roads and extensive management program assures multiple opportunities to see wildlife and harvest game The 4 300 acre property is extensively managed for wildlife and designed for easy accessibility for all JPGS features 1 200 acres of tillable crop land and 2 800 acres of wooded areas in 10 sections of fascinating terrain There are 13 2 miles of perimeter fence and 43 miles of interior roads We accomplish our Mission by proudly showcasing 125 acres of managed wildlife food plots over 75 tree stands and shooting houses many of which are accessible to persons with limited mobility 30 deer and turkey feeders approximately 100 mineral sites and 24 deer cameras The Hunt Camp features a fully accessible log cabin with all the modern conveniences The cabin comfortably sleeps 6 and is complete with a full kitchen washer and dryer and handicap accessible restroom and shower Outside the cabin has a covered porch and fire pit for relaxing There is a hanging rack for dressing deer with hot and cold running water all in a wooded and shaded setting Hunts are fully guided and safe We provide everything from license overnight accommodations food transport vehicles stands field dressing game check in game processing game mounts guns and ammo crossbows pictures and transportation to and from camp if needed We look forward to meeting you and sharing the experience Our invited guest will get an outdoor sporting experience that is second to none and will experience nature while participating in a full range of activities and programs that are unparalleled We have special transport vehicles stands blinds and adaptive equipment for those who have accessibility requirements 3

In God We Trust DEER HUNTING Deer hunting at CATT Big Buck Boot Camp is spectacular to say the least The high number of deer excellent genetics a great buck to doe ratio combined with the intense quality deer management practices make for a truly Once in a lifetime opportunity A well thought out cull buck program doe management food plots minerals game cameras mock scrapes strategically placed stands and blinds along with great guides make for a world class hunt Our goal for our guest is to gain an understanding of the importance of cover nutrition predator control population control game cameras game and property management mock scrapes funneling as well as tree stand placement Handi capped hunting WILD TURKEY HUNTING Wild turkey abounds at CATT Big Buck Boot Camp There are very few sounds in the outdoors that match the gobbling of a boss tom and this experience awaits those hunting in JPGS during the spring turkey season We enhance this experience for its challenged hunters by using electric 4x4 camouflage transport vehicles and strategically located accessible blinds Our goal for our guests is to gain an understanding of the importance of the Management Plan which includes Food Plots Predator Control Population Control and Managed Cover 4

In God We Trust PREDATOR HUNTING Coyote in the Jefferson Proving Grounds are a very hardy and elusive animal The predator control area of our management plan is implemented by offering our guests the opportunity to hunt coyotes and other predators that have a negative impact on our new born fawns as well as turkey and wild bird s eggs Crow Hunting is an ever growing popular sport that was once a necessity for protecting crops Our goal for our guest is to gain an understanding of the importance of predator control as part of the overall game management plan for the benefit of many species OHIO RIVER AND LAKE FISHING Jefferson Proving Grounds North has a gorgeous 180 acre freshwater lake with endless standing timber numerous coves and points making great cover for excellent fishing Old Timbers Lake is well known as being one of the best lakes in the state for producing very large bass bluegill crappie and catfish The Ohio River only a few minutes drive from the Proving Grounds offers a vast opportunity for numerous fish species including striper bass largemouth bass enormous catfish and sauger While there are some similarities in the types of fishing there are very distinct differences in river fishing verses lake fishing due to the different species of fish currents and changing water levels which also create a more challenging experience Also bow fishing from a custom airboat on the Ohio at night is always an exciting adventure In addition at the Presnell Plantation we offer 10 fully stocked lakes stocked with Bluegill Crappie Redear Bass and Catfish 5

In God We Trust UPLAND GAME We have some of the finest wing shooting available in the rolling hills of southern Indiana Guests will experience a breathtaking hunt and if needed in a state of the art custom off road wheelchair attachment that puts a disabled hunter in front to fully view the flush and enjoy dogs handled by professional guides Our goal for our guests is to gain an understanding of the roles of a guide and the importance of properly trained dogs and their health care as well as the benefits of ground cover and its impact on erosion control runoff filterization and wildlife habitat WATERFOWL Waterfowl hunting is done through strategically placed accessible blinds as well as custom watercraft to accommodate our disabled hunters We convert marginal low areas by building wetland lakes as well as creating master wetland planting plans to enhance the food and cover component of lake hunting on all our lakes Our goal for our guest is to gain and understanding of the environmental and wildlife benefits of wetlands and wetland plants as well as the various species of waterfowl native to different parts of the country and their migration 6

In God We Trust 5 STAND SPORTING CLAYS AND ALL WEATHER SHOOTING HOUSE 5 Stand is a shooting sport that provides the enthusiast with the ultimate in variety and enjoyment We feature a state of the art fully lighted 5 Stand that is equipped with eight traps This first class facility semi enclosed in an all weather shooting house is specially designed to offer an array of targets and varying degrees of difficulty so that everyone from the novice to the intermediate and advanced shooters will enjoy a memorable shooting experience Our goal for our guests is to gain a better understanding of the importance of gun safety gun cleaning and care ear and eye protection and situation awareness Shooting House PISTOL RANGE In order to further hone our guests marksmen skills we also feature a pistol range The pistol range is a favorite for learning personal protection and safety as well as the different types of pistols such as single and double action revolvers and semi automatic and black powder pistols Our goal for our guests is to gain a better understanding of the functional differences of each pistol and the importance of pistol safety due to the elevated dangers of shooting a short barreled weapon in addition to the importance of gun cleaning and care ear protection and situation awareness 7

In God We Trust 3D ARCHERY COURSE We also offer a 40 target 3 D archery course Strategically placed throughout the woods life sized Rhinehart animal targets are guaranteed to provide an unforgettable experience highlighted by interesting shots throughout this personally designed aesthetically pleasing course Safety and being able to judge distance size of target angles shadows and obstacles are important factors in a successful shot It is our goal that our guests gain a better understanding about the different types of bows their functionality and application and they re history as well as the proper handling care and safety as well as situation awareness CAMPING Camp guests looking for an overnight camping excursion or for a retreat can settle into one of the scenic lake side campsites Our campsites are readily accessible and outfitted with picnic tables fire pit and firewood Selected sites have electric available for campers and RV s Whether summer camping or winter camping to learn about cold weather training there are many things to learn about camping out Just to mention a few mapping communication packing a backpack appropriate clothing pitching a tent starting and putting out a fire cooking over a open fire packing food packing proper cooking utensils lighting a lantern and the importance of water and the dangers of dehydration Our goal is for our guests to gain a better understanding of the necessity of successfully preparing to insure a safe and enjoyable camping experience Camp Grounds Cabin 8

In God We Trust PROGRAMS Learning through Activity We are experts in the areas of member based sporting lodges fractionalization wildlife habitat forestry lakes wetlands specialty products row crop fixed crop and livestock operations among others We believe you are never too young or old to start learning about and appreciating the land and environment we live in Traditional classrooms have textbooks We have real world applications with a curriculum that is delivered as a part of the many exciting activity based programs We emphasize learning sharing and exploring in an outdoor context that has been carefully planned for safety enlightenment and enjoyment Internships and Mentoring Acquiring relevant real world job skills and a corresponding education is the goal of many high school and college students as well as members of our military transitioning back into the civilian world We offer the opportunity for students and veterans to work alongside CATT Big Buck Boot Camp staff as they perform their jobs maintaining the facilities grounds and wildlife habitat as well as during program activities Interns have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience and skills in areas of the outdoor sporting recreation and agriculture We work with educational institutions and affiliate organizations to identify internship candidates Wellness and Rehabilitation The Camp s serene locale fosters a love for the outdoors that comes to life in the breath taking setting of the rolling hills and incredibly maintained landscape and wildlife areas The miles of scenic riding and hiking trails that wander through the fields woodlands and streams yield countless stimulating encounters with a wide variety of wildlife Many have experienced the positive therapeutic impact of nature and the outdoors Coupling that with rehabilitative programs support and activities such as outdoor recreation and therapeutic horseback riding program participants experience quality of life improvements and benefit emotionally physically and spiritually Outdoor Wish Outdoor Wish affords to individuals who are terminally ill a precious opportunity to fulfill an outdoor aspiration or dream this can be as simple as observing nature or watching animals in their natural habitat or as exciting as taking part in a cattle operation trail riding on horseback a bow fishing excursion riding on an airboat shooting sporting clays shooting a 3d bow course or taking part in a hunting or fishing experience With the support of donors and sponsors and our affiliation with Presnell Sporting Collection individuals young and old are offered 9 the opportunity to have a once in a lifetime experience

In God We Trust EQUESTRIAN ACTIVITIES Our equestrian activities present yet another opportunity for truly remarkable and unforgettable outdoor experiences We offer therapeutic handicap riding lessons to the novice and those who might not otherwise have had the opportunity to interact in the therapeutic company of one of God s most magnificent creatures Conquering the fear of the unknown and engendering feelings of confidence and self worth are just a few of the positives our patrons derive from this pursuit Barrel Racing We present various educational opportunities featuring ground and riding instruction care and management of the horse and other informative subjects such as health care and nutrition Miles of scenic riding trails that Riding Lessons meander through the fields woodlands and streams yield countless stimulating encounters with wide varieties of wildlife and bestow on the horseback rider an unforgettable opportunity to get back in touch with nature Our proposed new livestock complex is also designed to house a variety of activities featuring rodeo as well as working ranch horse events Barrel racing cutting reining working cow horse team penning team roping calf roping and the versatile cadences of the working horse are just a few of the events that can be enjoyed by all We look forward to the excitement and camaraderie associated with youth rodeo from Pee Wee in Junior Rodeo to High School Rodeo 11

In God We Trust Agricultural and Livestock ACTIVITIES Our Cattle Operation provides an exciting and educational venue to offer Plantation guests Many invaluable life lessons can be gleaned from the livestock activities featured at the Camp We feature Registered Purebred Crossbred Production Performance Show and Beef Cattle Our Breeding programs incorporate Artificial Insemination AI Heat Detection Estrus synchronization Embryo transfer Invetro Fertilization and Conventional Bull Breeding Our nutritional programs are designed to maximize performance and conception We also host livestock judging workouts and practices for local 4 H and FFA clubs and junior organizations as well as for collegiate livestock judging teams Livestock judging clinics and educational seminars in the field of animal agriculture are also offered to local clubs and organizations These clinics emphasize the development of decisionmaking and leadership skills with an attention to detail in a highspirited atmosphere where everyone enjoys a good time Cattle grooming and fitting is another activity featured at the Camp 4 H and FFA members wanting to learn about daily care and show day preparation for their cattle will benefit from a clinic held at the Camp There is no substitute for actual hands on interaction with the animals which is especially true through seminars and programs offered We also offer showmanship clinics that teach the fundamentals of this fascinating discipline Participants have the opportunity to compete in quiz contests where they are challenged to learn about the livestock and food industries and their impact on society Mock Showmanship contests are conducted to develop and refine skills in a real world setting Livestock Activities Our Row Crop Production features a rotation of Corn Beans Wheat and Hay We maximize the balance between Agricultural Programs and Practices and Wildlife Habitat Programs and Practices We incorporate Precision Farming Practices where GIS GPS Grid Mapping is used with our Agronomist for Variable Rate Fertilization Applications as well as the use of Planting Monitors and Yield Monitors for data collection and results We also incorporate a Master Plan Erosion Control and Filtering System of Field Tile Waterways Cattle Grooming Wascobs and Tile Risers as well as Filter Strips and Riparian Buffers 12 14
