3 2 1 our solution be part of our story Dear friends and supporters At Lake Geauga Habitat for Humanity we begin each day asking What if everyone in Lake and Geauga County had a safe healthy and affordable place to call home We know that when families have a stable home their children will have a place where they can thrive Since we began we have endeavored to provide those opportunities and have worked alongside a host of families who have become Habitat homeowners Lake Geauga Habitat for Humanity is leading the charge to change the landscape of affordable housing in the dual county area we serve through a three pronged approach of advocacy volunteerism and support We use our more than thirty years of service and housing expertise to refine our approach and rise to meet the growing need for affordable housing We are proud of the work we do across a diverse area of both rural and suburban areas and recognize the importance of affordable housing for families throughout our communities including lifelong residents who made the communities that comprise Lake and Geauga counties what they are today To date 96 homes have been built or rehabbed by Lake Geauga Habitat for Humanity And many more homes have been repaired A lot of people have been impacted by our work and even more will be as we strive to provide workforce housing so employees can afford to live closer to where they work The interconnectedness of our people and programs means we can make a deep impact on families and communities It also means we can and we should do more That is why we are launching our 100th Home and Beyond initiative to raise 1 2 million in philanthropic support over the next two years to expand our programs and serve even more Lake and Geauga County families We will increase our advocacy on behalf of all who are in need of affordable housing we will continue to mobilize a diverse network of volunteers to work alongside us and our future homeowners to build homes and make critical repairs and we will utilize your support to leverage even more funding to increase capacity Lake Geauga Habitat for Humanity s work is life changing We lift individuals and communities Our everyday efforts demonstrate how affordable housing provides people with the opportunity to lead healthy lives in stable homes Lake Geauga Habitat for Humanity s 100th Home and Beyond initiative is a robust undertaking that will push the organization to meet short and long term goals Our 100th Home and Beyond initiative seeks to change the landscape of affordable housing in Lake and Geauga counties through advocacy volunteerism and support by significantly increasing Habitat s capacity and the number of Lake and Geauga residents the organization can serve Critical steps in reaching our two year goals can be broken down into the following concrete investment opportunities ADVOCACY VOLUNTEERISM Goal 1 Programmatic Expansion Capacity building to build repair and revitalize more Lake and Geauga County homes neighborhoods and communities SUPPORT Goal 2 Advocacy and Awareness Expansion of advocacy efforts volunteer engagement and elevating the Habitat brand in Lake and Geauga County Goal 1 2 Million We invite you to be part of our story as it continues to be written one home one family at a time Blessings health outcomes Michael A Barb Executive Director financial stability and wealth building economic impact To learn more about our affiliate visit lake geaugahabitat org 100 Parker Ct Ste 6 Chardon OH 44024 What if everyone in Lake and Geauga County had a safe healthy and affordable place to call home
