Ribbon CuttingOn Tuesday, May 2, 2023, Gwinnett Technical College celebrated the opening of the new Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, and Emerging Technologies Building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The morning began with words from Technical College System of Georgia Commissioner Greg Dozier and Dr. Cannon, followed by building tours. Community members, the Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees, the CIS advisory board, faculty, and sta were all in attendance.Georgia Occupational Award (GOAL) of Leadership Winner Ryan Moore, Gwinnett Technical College Surgical Technology student“To be a GOAL winner, one must exemplify a leader. Someone who can be placed in any position and strive amongst their peers. For me to be chosen as the winner is a great honor, and I hope to continue to exemplify a GOAL winner throughout my educational journey.”Gwinnett Tech’s Outstanding Adult Teacher of the Yearand runner-up at state competition Yolanda Usry, Gwinnett Technical College Adult Education Instructor“It is with humility and honor that I accept the opportunity to represent Gwinnett Technical College and the Adult Education Program as Outstanding Teacher of the Year. Gwinnett Tech has been recognized throughout the community and state as a leader in providing relevant knowledge to students, businesses, and their employees for life. I’m proud to be associated with and able to represent an institution with such standards of excellence. The Adult Education Program continues to prove its commitment to students’ achieving success with GED® & HISET® testing. I am proud to work with a team full of ambitious people who continue to deliver outstanding results.
