W elcome When my mother discovered a love for imagemaking by photographing my sister and me in 1980 she had no idea she was embarking on a career that would span over 30 years and three generations or that photography would become my career as well I grew up sitting on the counter of mom s dark room watching and learning as she developed images onto paper What I learned as a child carried on into my adult life After two years at the University of Kentucky I moved to Santa Barbara California to attend Brooks Institute of Photography where I graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree in commercial photography in 2001 Today my mother and I own and operate Greer Portrait Studio in Lexington Kentucky and now my children are growing up at the studio as I did For more than thirty years families have shared their lives with us from all over Kentucky West Virginia Tennessee and Ohio and even as far as California Colorado New Jersey Florida and Australia We take great joy in knowing our families and pride in the portraits that are displayed on the walls of their homes My sincere thanks to all our families for their loyalty given to us throughout the years From our family to yours Leeann Greer
