We work towards a shared future state in North Carolina where success or struggle is not predictable for our students. We will be the preeminent state for the corps, alumni, and staff experience because of our impact. For us, how we work and the culture we create through explicit action will determine our impact towards that shared future state in NC. NC STAFF CONFERENCEGREENVILLE, NC

Transportation has changed from our previous conferences. Please read all details below. As a cost savings measure, staff will be carpooling to the Greenville Staff Conference. Carpooling is defined as "you plus one", as a minimum, in order to be reimbursed for mileage to and from the conference. To balance both cost savings measures and personal needs, we considered charter buses, rental cars, and carpooling with more staff in one car and ultimately landed on this definition of carpooling after feedback from a variety of NC staff members. If you choose to drive solo to the conference, you will not be able to reimburse mileage. If you have questions related to carpooling based on proximity to other NC staff members or caregiver needs, email tfanc.people@teachforamerica.org before February 13.Talk to your Cabinet member if a rental car is needed for travel to and from the conference. Rental cars will only be available for staff carpooling and not solo travel. It is a responsibility of the staff member to procure their rental car after getting approval from their cabinet member should the rental car be needed for travel. What's changed? We created this sheet to help staff coordinate carpooling. Use this sheet to find other staff members that live in your area and to see whether or not they have capacity for additional staff in their car. Follow the directions on the sheet and complete all fields to let us know your carpooling arrangements by February 13. Staff members within a carpool should coordinate driver, vehicle, leave times, pick-up locations, and rental car (if needed) and should indicate these decisions on the sheet. We will use this sheet to reimburse mileage. If your name is not listed as a driver on the sheet, you will not be reimbursed for mileage. How will carpooling work? Can I rent a car?If you have questions related to transportation, email tfanc.people@teachforamerica.org.STAFF ACTION NEEDEDT R A N S P O R T A T I O N
