It was suggestedthat Christmas pyramids were a predecessor to the Christmas Tree butthat these pyramids were not limited to Christmas time. In fact, duringSummer solstice, there was a custom of dancing around "St. John'sTree" decked with garlands and flowers.Older versions are made of lacquered wood and requires taper candlesfor the rotary blade to move (see left photo below). When the hot air from the candlerises and meets cold air, the rotary blade starts to move. Often, candle carouselsare made of wood, making them fire hazards. At Green Papaya, we have taken thesame concept and replaced wood with aluminum / steel / glass, materials that aremore heat resistant.We have several types of carousels in yellow-gold, rose-gold, silver, and variouscolors:Small: Tea light sized base, these can fit a regular sized tea light or one of ourmini candles.Medium: Votive base, these fit tea lights or mini candles and has a speciallyfitted ring that fits the opening of the votive.Midi: Circular or triangular base plate with padding to protect surface, comeswith a magnetic bar and can accommodate single-wick 2oz or 4oz candles.Large: Plate base, these base come with a magnetic stand and canaccommodate up to 8 oz candle jars.Candle Toppers: Our newest addition, they are perfect for placing atop asingle-wick candleOur candle carousels come with different ornaments, one for every occasion andpackaged in "ready to gift" boxes, perfect for the holiday season or a specialoccasion.
