expectations grading policies Classroom Rules 1 Arrive on time and open relevant applications 2 Work during all work times 3 Keep hands feet and objects to yourself 4 Stay in your seat unless you have permission to leave it 5 Food and drinks are not allowed in the classroom 6 Know and follow all school rules per the student handbook Guidelines for Success 1 I will be respectful of myself my peers my teacher our materials and technology 2 I will take responsibility for all assignment deadlines 3 I will learn to set and achieve goals for myself both academically and personally 4 I will be accountable to others in this class 5 I will apply myself wholeheartedly and will push myself toward greater success Late Work Policy Late work will be accepted For each class day after the due date there will be a 10 point deduction No work will be accepted after 5 class days 10 calendar days Grading Policy Unit Assessments 1 project unit some tests 50 Weekly Unit Assignments approx 3 unit 35 Professionalism 1 quarter 15 Total per quarter 9 weeks 100 Test Retest Policy Major individual group projects and tests will be worth double points If you make below a 75 on a test and desire to retake that test you must attend a FIT or tutorial session scheduled with the teacher You will have an opportunity to make up to 75 on the retake Plagiarism Policy Your work should be your own original work You will not receive full credit or any credit at all in instances of definitive cheating for notes definitions essays worksheets etc that have been taken in part or in whole from the Internet or from a classmate AI may only be used when explicitly stated Otherwise it will be considered plagiarism and will be treated as such Technology Computers and other technology will be used on a daily basis All available technology is expensive and should be treated as if it were your own personal property If you choose not to respect the technology you may lose technology privileges at any time Cell phones will not be used except at designated work times All other times it should be kept in the caddy at the front of the room Cell phones seen on your person will be collected and may be given to the main office Online games are not to be played during lecture work time or presentations Warnings will be given multiple infractions could result in loss of Internet privileges Substitutes Complete the assignments given by your substitutes even if the teacher might be out for multiple days at conventions Any student whose name is left by a substitute when the teacher is not at school will receive a write up with disciplinary action supplies These supplies are not required but could be useful for our class Headphones earbuds Writing utensil s Paper notebook
