YOUR NEW POSITION AS A COMMUNITY MANAGER Frequently Asked Questions and Answers WHAT WILL THE FIRST DAY INVOLVE Your first day at Goodwin Company will start with your New Hire Orientation Once completed your supervisor will discuss the schedule for training objectives and required meetings SHOULD I PACK MY LUNCH On your first day lunch is on us The catch is you have to pick the place HOW LONG WHAT TIME ARE THE LUNCH BREAKS As typical 1 hour is allowed for lunch Be sure to punch in out if applicable based on your compensation setup Community Managers have to be versatile so sometimes emergencies and urgent matters come up unexpectedly Goodwin Company allows the managers to take a lunch break when their schedule allows CAN I EAT AT MY DESK Yes you can please be mindful of eating foods with strong or pungent odors Make sure to dispose of your lunch materials in the appropriate receptacles Please do not utilize office trash bins outside of the breakroom for throwing away food or drinks WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR TRAINING Your supervisor will set your training schedule and coordinate the appropriate departments as applicable

CAN I REQUEST EXTRA TRAINING We are always open to ideas and suggestions when it comes to training Should you feel that you need additional time with a specific department or to review a software or procedure please do not hesitate to ask for more WHAT PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS ARE COVERED BY GOODWIN Goodwin will pay for the M100 and CMCA exam one time and one 200 level course online only without travel costs per year If you fail you pay for the next attempt or wait until the following year An accelerated plan requires supervisor approval Goodwin will pay for the PCAM case study class travel at management s discretion Upon receiving the CMCA you will receive a 500 bonus and paid manager membership as long as you are employed with us Upon receiving the PCAM you will receive a 1 500 bonus WHAT CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES ARE COVERED One 200 level course online only each year WHO CAN I TALK TO ABOUT MY CAREER PATH Goodwin recognizes that one of the key components of our success is a highly educated and trained staff of professionals Goodwin is dedicated to providing its employees with thorough training educational resources whenever and wherever needed to aid in each employee achieving their full career potential Consult your supervisor for additional support resources and guidance WILL I GET EXPERIENCE IN OTHER DEPARTMENTS IF I ASK FOR IT You will be exposed to working with all of our departments and understanding the duties for each role In the event that you want to transfer to another department outside of management you must receive approval from your supervisor Please consult with them before submitting a transfer request Per the handbook Goodwin employees who have completed six 6 months of service in their current position may apply and be considered for a posted job opportunity In special circumstances and with HR approval an employee may seek a transfer before completing six 6 months of service in his or her current position In addition to experience skills and qualifications future career moves will depend upon successful performance and demonstrated success in the current position ARE THERE ANY ANNUAL TEAM BUILDING EVENTS The standing event is the company holiday party Each region will set and communicate team building events get togethers and fun activities
