She would like to thank The Grand for giving her the creative room to grow; Liz for helping her through this project and inspir-ing her; and the cast for making her job easy, exciting, and fulfilling!! ____________________________________________________________________ Director’s Note: There is a reason that Godspell has been a classic piece of musical theater for over 50 years. I think the strength of the show is that it can be adapted to any time or place. Its message is quite simple. As stated by the composer Stephen Schwartz, it is simply about someone who teaches people how to create a com-munity through love, sincerity and integrity. He then leaves them so they can use that lesson to live a better life for themselves and others. In today's world we are so connected to technology yet, it's not hard to see that many connections are tenuous and superficial. Perhaps as you watch these incredible performers tell this story through this beautiful music, you can truly connect with the message of community, love, and shining your own light forward to brighten our world. We could all use more light and love in our lives. Thank you as always to the Grand Theater, the production team, this fabulous cast and to my own community of light. Shine On! Elizabeth Rodriguez
