Last scal year, thanks to your dedication towards excellence, Glendale Memorial Hospital received a Southern California Division FY Entity Award with a Special Nursing Recognition as a Facility with Zero HAPI. What’s more, the Southern California Division was the highest performing Division in many of CommonSpirit Health’s key quality and patient safety measures, including: • fewer surgical complications, which is a signicant step towards our goal of zero harm.•A focus on the care of our septic patients, saving  more lives, representing  more people who returned to their families. • fewer unnecessary blood product transfusions, reducing the risk to the people entrusted to our care. Glendale Memorial Medical Dialogue 3da Vinci Xi MilestoneOur Robotic Program, featuring the da Vinci Xi®, has reached an impressive milestone. Since our program launched in June , Glendale Memorial Hospital has performed over  minimally-invasive robotic surgeries! These span various service lines, including general surgery, colorectal, gynecology, and urology.The success of the Robotic Program is due to our  robotic privileged surgeons, an expert robotic team, and a dedicated OR for the da Vinci Xi.The da Vinci Xi is the leading, versatile, minimally-invasive, robotic surgical system and oers the most advanced instrumentation, vision and precision. Like previous models, da Vinci Xi features immersive D-HD visualization and robotic instruments that precisely replicate the surgeon’s movements. Unique to this version is the ability for surgeons to go into multiple quadrants with new arms designed to work in  degrees--something highly advantageous for complex procedures. Glendale Memorial Hospital also invested in the Simulator for training access as well as the Integrated Table Motion, which enables the patient to be dynamically positioned while the surgeon operates.In addition to its ease of use for surgeons, the da Vinci Xi robotic system also oers a number of benets for patients, including shorter hospital stays, less blood loss, decreased postoperative pain, and a faster recovery. Robotic Surgery Center of ExcellenceWe’re pleased to announce that we are on the path to becoming a Center of Excellence for Robotic Surgery. Stay tuned for updates! Cath Lab RenovationOur Cath Lab-A renovation project has commenced. Phillips personnel is onsite to decommission our current Cath Lab equipment, which initiates the construction phase of a scheduled -month project. Please note that during this time, we will only be able to schedule in two Cath Labs B & C and EP cases in Room  in the OR. We will also be able to schedule minor Interventional Radiology cases in Room  as well. We will do everything we can to accommodate cases during the construction period. Thank you for your understanding while we work to improve our hospital.New EV Chargers In an eort to continue to support environmentally conscious lifestyles, Glendale Memorial Hospital has installed ve additional EV chargers for electric vehicles on the rst oor of the parking structure. This brings our total to nine EV chargers available for employees and physicians. Thank you for removing your vehicle once it’s fully charged and for supporting our environment.
