4648 Glenshire PlaceThe Story of “The Ashford”I’m Tim Maitski. The sellers, Brian and Alice, hired me to be their “Home Story Director” to help them tell the story of their lovely home that we have named “The Ashford”.So I sat down with Brian and Alice and asked them all the quesons that I have found that buyers would like to know.As you browse through this storybook and marvel at the incredible pictures, you can get a sense of what it will be like living in “The Ashford”.We’re looking for that one special buyer who will love living here as much as Brian and Alice have for the past 5 years. If you have any other quesons, please feel free to give me a call. My contact info is on the back page. Why are you moving? While we would love to keep this home, we have been presented with extraordinary career opportunies in Korea that will last at least a year. Brian has accepted a vising professorship at one of the country’s most presgious Tech universies, and Alice has been oered a CEO role within her companyWe also loved how walkable the neighborhood and surrounding areas are—perfect for morning strolls or evening walks to unwind. And from the moment we stepped inside, the house felt just right: cozy yet modern, with a welcoming layout that stood out from the other homes we considered. It quickly became our top choice, and we have felt incredibly lucky to call it home ever since. Why did you buy this home?We are an academic couple who earned our PhDs in Los Angeles, California. Aer spending a year in Knoxville, Tennessee, we moved to Atlanta to begin our careers at Georgia Tech. When we discovered this neighborhood, we were immediately drawn to a perfect trio of amenies—playground, swimming pool, and tennis courts. We could easily picture our three kids laughing and running around, and that vision has come to life over the past ve wonderful years. What do you love about living here?Ashford Chase is a true community. There is a strong sense of belonging, with frequent neighborhood events like the end-of-school-year pool party, Halloween fesvies, and book club gatherings. Many acvies are iniated by the HOA, but plenty are organized by residents themselves, creang a lively and welcoming atmosphere.Kids easily form friendships thanks to the shared spaces—the pool, playground, and tennis courts.

Any special neighborhood events?Ashford Chase truly comes alive through its year-round community gatherings. Last autumn, a neighbor’s Diwali lantern-lighng celebraon illuminated the neighborhood with vibrant rangoli art and Indian cuisines, and when another resident launched a consulng rm, an elegant indoor soirée—complete with champagne toasts and internaonal hors d’œuvres—doubled as both hearelt celebraon and a local networking event. We cherish seasonal tradions, from spring poolside barbecues and summer potlucks on the tennis courts to fall tailgate cook-outs before high-school football games and cozy winter cookie exchanges by the replace. For those who prefer a quieter start to the day, “Coee & Connect” strolls and gardening chats oer leisurely mornings, while our men’s bicycle club pedals together on weekday evenings—exploring nearby trails and forging friendships one ride at a me. In Ashford Chase, every gathering deepens the bonds that make this neighborhood feel like home. What’s your favorite restaurant near by?There is no shortage of outstanding restaurants near Ashford Chase, and while many have earned a place on our rotaon, a few stand out as our go-to favorites. When we have excing news to celebrate or mark an anniversary, we oen head to Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse, conveniently located right here in Dunwoody. There, you can savor a lavish salad bar while sampling an array of top-quality Brazilian cuts carved tableside. Within a ve-minute drive, you will also nd J. Alexander’s, Season 52, and McKendrick’s Steak House. For a leisurely lunch, North Italia never disappoints; its fresh pastas and cra cocktails always li our spirits. On weekend mornings, we choose among First Watch, J. Christopher’s, Another Broken Egg Café, or Crema Espresso Gourmet, depending on whether we’re craving hearty brunch classics or a lighter, café-style fare. And because Dunwoody sits just a stone’s throw from Doraville, adventurous palates can explore an incredible variety of Asian—Chinese, Japanese, and Korean avors. Sushi Kingdom, Viceroy Indian Dining, and Taki Japanese Steakhouse are literally around the corner, and a new Korean steakhouse is set to open soon.ww

What is your favorite spot in the home?Because our home sits at the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac surrounded by beauful tree canopies—and with no house directly across—it feels exceponally private and tranquil.During warm evenings, we oen placed chairs in the garage, added a small hanging light, and turned it into our own cozy outdoor café. Watching the sunset through the trees while sipping a glass of wine became one of our favorite rituals. The expansive cul-de-sac also became our children’s playground, perfect for biking and games, stretching all the way to the main road, Ashford Club Drive.Anything else that you want the next owner to know?Safety was also a major factor for us—the Dunwoody Police Department is just one street away and regularly patrols the neighborhood. As parents of three young children, we especially appreciated the playground, tennis courts, and swimming pool within the community, all of which we enjoyed thoroughly during our me here.We have been truly fortunate to have wonderful neighbors. This neighborhood is lled with kindness, care, and a genuine sense of community spirit.
