Letter From The Senior Pastor Mable and I are grateful to you for your love prayers encouragement and support over our thirty four year labor together here in Austin Texas We have learned so very much from you and the community of Austin Texas We have seen continuous growth and development in our very own lives the lives of our two sons Bishop Richard and Bishop Kristoffer their families and the lives of those of you who have chosen to walk with us as we walked with the Lord since we organized in 1984 God has brought us from those first thirteen members to a massive global ministry that exceeds thousands and growing We have been instrumental under the direction of the Holy Spirit in planting or incubating Churches in various parts of the world and several Churches in Texas There is now even a Greater Calvary Bible Church in Sierra Leone West Africa In Austin Texas the Greater Calvary Bible Church led the way in marching at the midnight hour in high drug activity areas of the city to end drug abuse We lead the first and only Unity March addressing police brutality and inappropriate use of force We were at the forefront of addressing the countless number of young Black males and females killed on the streets of Austin We led the campaign to raise scholastic achievement of AISD students in East Austin Over twenty years ago It was the Greater Calvary Bible Church that established the first full service Character Centered Servant Warrior Leader Rites of Passage in Texas We now have graduates in different parts of the world serving in critical leadership roles and making a difference 100 percent of the Cadets that graduate through the Greater Calvary Rites of Passage graduate from High School and 90 percent of the Cadets graduate from institutions of higher learning The Greater Calvary Abundant Life Learning Center organized over twenty five years ago under the very able leadership of International First Lady Mable Lands has successfully launched hundreds of students into high scholastic achievement Now many of the early ALLC graduates bring their children and enroll them at ALLC to be nurtured by Mable The various ministries that were launched at the Greater Calvary Bible Church are busy doing the work assigned on property that is debt free including one hundred plus acres of woodland that is used for hunting camping and training youth in outdoor survival skills We are thankful to God for sending us from Baton Rouge Louisiana through the Midwest and establishing us here in Austin Texas to lead His people at the Greater Calvary Bible Church To our very strong team of Ministry Leaders Elders Associate Ministers and Associate Pastors working in this ministry thank you for your commitment and labor and the sacrifices you have made for the Kingdom of God To all of our Members we love you and look forward to serving you many more years in our walk together in Christ Jesus our Lord May God s richest blessings cover you as you grow stronger in Him day by day Love Dr Sterling and First Lady Mable Lands II We Walk in The Promises of God

The Most Reverend Dr Sterling Lands II is the Senior Pastor of the Greater Calvary Bible Church Presiding Bishop Family Life International Fellowship and Presiding Prelate of the Province of St John the Baptist of the Evangelical Episcopal Communion He holds earned degrees from Southern University A M School of Engineering National Theological Seminary and Master International School of Divinity He served as a minister of music at the Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church and lead guitarist for the late Pastor Cleophus Robinson Sr He was licensed to preach the gospel in 1979 and ordained in 1982 He was called to pastor the Second Baptist Church of Frankfort Missouri 1982 and in 1983 he was called to pastor the Maryland Street Baptist Church of Louisiana Missouri In 1984 he moved to Austin Texas as the Director of Operations and Engineering for Turn Key Operations for a fortune 500 company It was in 1984 that he and his wife International First Lady Deaconess Mable along with thirteen others including their sons The Right Reverend Richard Sterling Lands and The Right Reverend Kristoffer Sterling Lands organized the Greater Calvary Bible Church Austin Texas In 1991 he left Corporate America and went into full time pulpit ministry He is the author of several books addressing character centered youth development He is a licensed professional engineer with a specialty in process control He is the President and CEO of ANAK Consultants He is the President and CEO of Rites of Passage Development Inc an agency specializing in affordable housing community development and economic development He is the President and CEO of Greater Calvary Rites of Passage Inc an agency specializing in character centered youth and young adult development He is the President and CEO of the Abundant Life Learning Center Greater Calvary Academy and Greater Calvary Schools We Walk in The Promises of God

Civic and Community Organizations through which Pastor Lands Served or is Serving It would take many more pages and books to cover the full breath of our Pastor s legacy The following is just an synopsis of his Civic and Community involvements Our pastor is a civil rights and community activist youth advocate and author He was active in the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s He has been active in the NAACP and Operation Push He worked with Mrs Coretta Scott King from 1978 through 1984 as a Nonviolence field trainer and as president of the Missouri MLK Support Organization headquartered in St Louis Missouri He was the organizing president of the Association for Nonviolent Social Change of America ANSCA He led a St Louis group in the 1983 March on Washington commemorating the original 1963 March In 1984 he marched in Cummings Georgia Forsyth County for equal rights He was the organizing president of the Eastside Action Coalition In 2001 he led the fight for equity in Austin s public schools He is Founder of Greater Calvary Bible Church Family Life Bible Church DeSoto Family Life International Fellowship Family Life Foundation African Bible Church International Fellowship Abundant Life Learning Center Greater Calvary Academy Greater Calvary Schools Greater Calvary Rites of Passage Rites of Passage Development Inc Greater Calvary Turning Point Ministry He has served on the following Boards Caritas Austin Revitalization Authority Vice Chair Austin Achieve Public Schools Board Secretary Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce Vice Chair Baptist Ministers Union of Austin and Vicinity President Austin Police Monitor Board Austin Parks and Recreation Commission Chair Austin Planning Commission Vice Chair Austin Ethics Commission We Walk in The Promises of God

International First Lady Deaconess Mable L Lands was born and raised in Baton Rouge Louisiana She is a graduate of the Master s International School of Divinity Evansville Inc with a Bachelor of Ministry degree She is a graduate of the St Ann School of Cosmetology St Louis Mo is also a former student of Louisiana State University Baton Rouge Louisiana She is a state of Texas certified early child development professional administrator She is a state certified food service manager She is certified in the Spalding Reading and Writhing methods Character Centered Project Management Non Violent Social Change Methods and Dispute Resolution She is a licensed beauty consultant in Missouri and Texas She was wedded to her husband The Most Reverend Dr Sterling Lands II in 1967 and gave birth to their oldest son The Right Reverend Richard S Lands in 1968 and their youngest son The Right Reverend Kristoffer S Lands in 1973 She is an organizing member of the Greater Calvary Bible Church former Greater Calvary Baptist Church and has served as a faithful member in various support and leadership roles within the Church since it s formation in 1984 She currently serves as Deaconess Ministry Chair at the Greater Calvary Bible Church She is the organizing Director of the Abundant Life Learning Center ALLC since June 10 1990 serving youth 2 5 years old and serves as the Head Teacher She Operations and Systems Monitor for the Greater Calvary Rites of Passage and serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Calvary Schools She serves as the current Sunday School Superintendent She serves as the Usher Ministry Coordinator She serves as an active member of the Voices of Greater Calvary and the Anointed Voices choral ministries International First Lady was crowned a Chief in the Village of Doryumu Accra Ghana West Africa 2005 Her stool name is Nana Ma Lakor She is known in many settings across the country for her expertise in elegant dressing and serves as a consultant in privileged circles for Apparel and Fashion accessories selection She is the proud grand mother of four grand sons and six grand daughters We Walk in The Promises of God

Call To Worship We are the Body of Christ Our mission is to win souls to Christ make disciples and develop Christ centered families of high integrity as a Kingdom priority live free serve one another and worship God We work to save the lost educate the saved liberate the educated serve the Saints and worship God As we know Jesus better his divine power gives us everything we need for living a godly life He has called us to receive his own glory and goodness I believe in one God the Father the Almighty maker of heaven and earth of all that is seen and unseen I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ the only son of God eternally begotten of the Father God from God Light from Light true God from true God begotten not made of one being with the Father Through him all things were made For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven By the power of the Holy Ghost Jesus was conceived in the Virgin Mary and was made man For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate he suffered death and was buried On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end I believe in the Holy Ghost the Lord the giver of life who proceeds from the Father and the Son With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified He has spoken through the Prophets I believe in one holy universal and apostolic Church the forgiveness of sins the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting The Lord our God is the one and only Lord I love the Lord our God with all my heart all my soul all my mind and all my strength Lord I surrender my gifts skills talent time and treasure in serving you and my Church family Lord show me how and where to invest the resources that you have blessed me with to benefit the ministry and your people Lord please unite our hearts and minds by your Spirit as we gather to worship I put aside all distractions to worship you in spirit and truth Fill me with your Spirit as you commanded me to be filled and as you promised in your word that you would do when I asked in faith Thank you for directing my life and for filling me with your Spirit In the name of Jesus the Christ our Lord Amen Our God is the awesome God We Walk in The Promises of God
