A B O U T T H E F E S T I V A L The Great American Brass Band Festival is a completelyunique event that showcases brass band music through awide variety of programming, performances, andeducation. This one-of-a-kind festival has proven itsexcellence, spanning over three decades of history andtradition. The GABBF presents quality music andmusicians which showcase brass bands at the scenic andprestigious Centre College in historic Danville, KY, whileproviding fun and musical experiences for all inattendance. From British Brass Bands to the sounds of New Orleans,Jazz, modern-day brass bands with rhythm sections andeverything in between, the GABBF covers every genre ofmusic exhibited by horns of any kind. This outstandingthree-day event brings the best of community and musictogether.
A B O U T T H E F E S T I V A LThe Great American Brass Band Festival is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded entirely by donations,sponsorships, and fundraising. This family-friendly and freemulti-day festival provides music for listeners with noadmission fee. With three days of events and tens of thousands ofattendees each year, the festival provides free opportunitiesand experiences for everybody. Fans from all over the worldtravel to Danville to experience the festival from start tofinish and enjoy all that the City of Danville and Kentuckyhas to offer.

Now in its third year, the GABBF stage is a 17x10 ft videoboard that is used for live video of the bands, sponsorpromotions, and commercials that air a minimum of 10times each. As a sponsor, you will have your name on theLED video screen, formatted to befit your sponsorshiplevel as well as the opportunity to obtain a commercial slotfor free or a reduced price. Signage on the 17x10ft video board will include yourbusiness name scrolling during stage changes with varyinglevels of acknowledgment that include the following: Sponsor name only, non-exclusive to your business(non-exclusive meaning your business name will be listedamongst other business names at the same sponsorshiplevel)Sponsor acknowledgments exclusive to your business,with and without logo (exclusive meaning your businesswould be the only business on that particular page)An opportunity for a: 15-second commercial slot withvisuals and sound. Downtown Downbeat: GABBF Special Edition Danville’s newest outdoor event, the Downtown Downbeat concertseries takes place on Main Street. Although the concert series spans5-7 months on the first Thursday of the month, the ‘GABBFDowntown Downbeat’ is a very special night as it serves as the kick-off event of the festival weekend. Bayou and Brass Presenter: $20,000Bayou and Brass is Friday night’s all-star event. Celebratingthe sounds of New Orleans, Bayou and Brass brings out thebest of the Bayou’s musical traditions with a more modernflare. The New Orleans-style bands today include lots ofhorns and often feature rhythm sections as well. This eventtakes place on the main stage and draws a large audiencedue to the popularity of these modern-day bands, theavailability of food, and its bayou-inspired atmosphere.Patrons of this event enjoy food and drink availability as wellas a festive environment.
