The English Skills Learning Center integrates andstrengthens communities by breaking language andcultural barriers. MissionVisionA community where all voices are celebrated. FrameworkTWO-WAY MUTUAL INTEGRATIONAll of our work centers on the concept of two-way mutualintegration, which means that both English languagelearners AND fluent English speakers are responsiblethroughout the integration process. Fluent English speakers can learn with us by attendingworkshops, becoming a volunteer, or even participating ina community book club. For English language learners, theESLC specializes in teaching English language and civicsfor adults with limited and interrupted formal education. We create a safe-space for everyone to learn and growtogether in order to reach our vision of a community whereall voices are celebrated.

Ina deliberate shift, we opted to serve a smaller number ofstudents, prioritizing a commitment to providing a higher-quality education. In navigating the challenges of the past year, we leanedheavily into our rich experience and expertise. The result isprograms that not only impart language skills but also fostersa deep understanding of civic engagement. Quality overquantity has been our guiding principle, and this strategicfocus has amplified the impact of our programs. Our dedicated team of volunteers and staff has workedtirelessly to create an environment where each student'sjourney is personalized and meaningful. By tailoring ourapproach to individual needs, we've witnessed remarkableprogress in language proficiency and civic awareness. As we celebrate the achievements outlined in this report, welook forward to building upon this foundation in the comingyear. Together, we remain committed to offering the higheststandard of education to those who seek to build a brighterfuture in their new home.Thank you for your continued support and belief in thetransformative power of literacy education.Katie L Donoviel
