Fox News 7

Is it heaven?

Not really

But in the North, there’s freedom

Do you think ice cubes can swim?

Community thrives in the West

Cold queso is good, but warm is best

Death to outsiders Northeast

Ruled by the black and white beast

Swim and be merry

The Southern desert isn't that scary

You'd best be active Southeast

And put in some elbow grease

It doesn't bother me

On the land in the sea

We've even got a mix

And just for kicks

A few colonies

We're definitely not perfect

That's it

Long ago, Fox News 7 was an uninhabited land and there was no sign of civilization. On the west side of the continent it was mountainous, in the south it was endless deserts, and in the southeast it was filled with tropical jungles. Then one day, a group of islanders came on a ship and landed on the east coast. These people, calling themselves Dwyllnians (alternately “Dwellers”), established the city of “The Jungle.” Soon after, groups of people began to feel oppressed by the “tyrannical” governmental regime. A group of citizens decided to migrate to the “manmade” peninsula of the continent for a better life. There was an internal disagreement within the group and two factions emerged, resulting in the creation of Pandamoneeum, occupying the northern half of the peninsula, and the other faction joining the Christianic Tatorship, occupying the south.

In the olden days, the founder of Pandamoneeum established her kingdom in the fertile lands of what is now Pandamoneeum. For decades she ruled as monarch of the kingdom, giving very good political freedoms and civil rights. The people of Pandamoneeum never felt oppressed and everybody worked together for the common good. Although citizens do not have the freedom to vote for a ruler, they have a large say in government decisions. Furthermore, there is an elected council that aids the ruler of the kingdom in making decisions. People have the opportunity to own and run their own businesses and have the freedom of religion and speech. The economy leans towards capitalism and the government controls very little. One day, an energy extraction company stumbled upon natural gas and the country realized natural gas is the most abundant resource in Pandamoneeum. Most people left primary sector, but those that stayed worked in natural gas extraction. The natural gas is then taken to the workers in the secondary section where it is made available for energy consumption or added to fertilizer to make it richer. Although natural gas is very important to the economy of Pandamoneeum, the majority of Pandamoneeum citizens work in the tertiary, quaternary, and quinary sectors. Much of Pandamoneeum is very urban but there are still towns based around natural gas sites. The natural gas boosts relationships with other countries because it creates opportunities for trade. One of the main imports is gems and minerals. For example, Nostaldot imports sapphires, Peppermince sends us diamonds, and Dwyllinia imports pearls, all in exchange for natural gas. Because of all these new trade partners, Pandamoneeum pitched in the development of the Foxs News 7 railroad system that went through every country on the continent. The kingdom also decided to put money into a port in the city of Snowville where trade partners could also come in with goods.

The national religion of Pandamoneeum is Amarine. There is no actual founder of the religion, rather the first settlers about 2000 years ago had certain customs that just turned into a religion. The settlers revered the universe as the sole Godly force. Pandas, the animals found abundantly on the lands, were to be treated with the highest respect as they believed the universe blessed pandas with certain traits that humans were not given. The Bamdoe is the holy book that the settlers put together that gives very specific instructions on how to worship pandas and meditate in bamboo fields. They believed that by sitting in a bamboo field and praying, you could hear the universe guide you. Amarinians do not eat meat and decorate their altars with black and white cloths in honor of the pandas. Because of the large number of Amarinians, the government takes extreme measures to protect all forests and make sure pandas do not go endangered.

In terms of Wallerstein’s World Systems Theory, Pandamoneeum is a core country. It has core processes occurring within it. It has a high GNP, it is industrialized, and has a strong military which is often used to aid in foreign conflicts as well as domestic. In terms of Rostow’s Modernization Model, Pandamoneeum is in stage 5, high-mass consumption. It is consumer-oriented and the tertiary sector is flourishing. The government takes many interests in preserving the natural environment, especially when it comes to protecting bamboo forests and the pandas. Although sometimes there is a little bit of pollution at the sake of making more money, Pandamoneeum is overall a relatively eco-friendly country.

In the beginning a divergent boundary pushed Lohmann land and Fox News 7 away from the main land mass. During the divergence of the main land mass and the separate chunk wrinkled because fox News 7 was pushing into Lohman Land  After time Lohmann Land and Fox news 7 were separated as well forming rift valleys between the mountain ranges as the contents straightened. The top and West end of Fox news are very cold and dry. The east and central area are plains and are apart of a continental climate. To the south we have a desert formed by dry  hot air streams.

Frigid is located on the North Central area of Fox News 7 and is at the foothills of the mountain. It is cold in the Mountains but the plains surrounding it remain relatively warm during the summer, ideal for farming. The settlements descriptive toponym is for the Freezing weather in the Mountains during the Winter. It is well known that no people would live through a winter if they were to remain high in the mountains.

The language Family, Maeolic, started in the South East and slowly diffused  through the rest of the continent. Close the language node words sound sharper, things such as water and sun are lomas and sir. Frigid, being much further from the language node have very flowing words, small spaces between each word, and added vowel sounds at the end of words. The reason there are vowel sounds at the end of most words is related to the fact that originally mostly only sacred words had vowel sounds at the end, so these sounds were associated with luck and goodwill. Over time people began adding these vowel noises to the end of all worlds because they thought it added luck to the word. This is very similar to the region to the East, Snowville.

The people of Northern Fox News 7 are ranchers and farmers. The ranchers participate in transhumance and travel up the @9 mountain range during the summer. Whereas the farmers live on the plains year round. The houses consist mostly of log cabins on both the mountainous region and the plains. The wood for their house is taken from the foothills and small wooded areas. The farms mostly consist of carrots, cabbage, potatoes, broccoli, onions and peas because this vegetation thrives in a cooler climate. The rancher's supply a small population of livestock and hunters bring back deer, caribou, rabbit and reindeer. Also, there is a small amount of fish from the river and coast. As for artwork, these people take pride in wood carvings and paintings on leftover animal hides. They get the hides from the hunt killed in the mountains and some livestock and the paint comes from the flowers throughout the mountains and fields.  The clothing is meant for cooler climates, consisting mostly of fur and hides in the foothills and mountains. Those on the plains also use hides but often use less fur and layers than those who live at a higher altitude. Every year after the harvest when many have returned from the mountains, there is a large festival where meat, fur, and crops are traded and sold. Many people will use the earnings to buy a wood carving as a good luck charm that ensures a safe winter.

After struggling conflicts with surrounding nations and internal conflicts the Frigid region was forced to expand and adapt to the new technology. Now the Nation State is known as Bendertopia. The Kingdom of Bendertopia is an Inoffensive Democracy depending largely on the people of its nation. As a whole Civil rights range from below average to good. The state feels that they should give its citizens a right to decide but increasingly make decisions that they know need to be done. However the political freedom is excellent as Bendertopia strongly believes in letting people do as they think is right as long as it won’t affect the rights of others. Citizens can believe in whatever they wish as long as the rights of other organisms are not affected unless they consent.

Bendertopia has an animistic religion that supports the idea that nature is a source of energy. Citizens are allowed to accept the religion in however way the wish or not accept the religion at all. The only rule is to do what is better for other people and their function is to provide. The reason they worship natural aspects is because they are considered very wise because they provide for others without having to think about it. All foods are fine to eat but one must be prepared to use their energy from the food for good. They must also try to replace something they destroy, kill a chicken then plant a tree. All clothing worn in public must be appropriate and not revealing.

Iron ore is found in the mountainous region of Bendertopia and is used in combination with Nickel to make stainless steel. Bendertopia's economy relies heavily on the industrial community using coal as the fuel to make their products.

Nickel is found all over Bendertopia but it tends to be mined in the Eastern region along with coal. Nickel was originally discovered when the mines were built to extract more coal. Its uses are to act as one of the components of Bendertopia's coins. It is also used on combination with Iron to make stainless steel.

Coal is also found over Bendertopia and is mined largely in the South East region. Coal is the main energy source, aside from the many renewable resources used. It is used in the production of stainless steel and many other things in the industrial community.

As a large amount of Bendertopia's economy is from the production of stainless steel there is a large city in the Eastern region. It had made Frigid, the capital, shrink a great mount but not to the point that this new settlement is larger. Bendertopia follows rank-size rule more then it follows the idea of a primate city. Frigid is the largest city then following behind is the industrial settlement Dantico. The iron Ore is transported from the mountains to Dantico by a large train system the runs all over the country.

As Bendertopia is surrounded by alliances most borders remain very peaceful. The boundary between Catherine's nation and Kyndall's nation consists simply of signs. If people illegally cross the border they will be sent back immediately, where their home countries will do what they feel fit. The airspace between Bendertopia, Nostaldot, Pandamondeeum is completely open to each other. The only difference is the border with #. That border is patrolled by border control and some areas even consist of fences. # is not allowed into our airways without permission. Bens small section of land within Bendertopia is closely watched but left alone as long as there are no issues. All resources below Bendertopia belong solely to Bendertopia.

Bendertopia has a large amount of what they need to be successful on its on land so they trade more for pleasure than need. To make Jewelry we have a trading system set up with Nostaldot, Dwyllnia, and Peppermince. we import Sapphires, pearls, and Diamonds while they get a small amount of our Iron Ore. We also trade Dwyllnia for Oysters as our coastal region is too cold for the delicious food. Finally, we trade Iron Ore with Pandamoneeum for Natural gas as it is extremely close to the industrial city.

The transportation route of Bendertopia is intricate and allows for a greater trade reach. There is a system of railways that go to every major city in the country, it also goes through neighboring countries. There are two major airports one for commercial use and one for trade. In addition, there are rail systems connected to all surrounding countries.

Bendertopia is an example of Rank-Size rule. Our largest city is the capital, Frigid, where tourism is the main aspect of the economy because of Commercialization. Frigid is a multiple nuclei model. The next largest city is Dantico the industrial city in the South East. Antico is the Hoyt's sector model. After that, there is a city in the south by the name of Schamt that is a large trading hub for the surrounding countries. Schamt follows the concentric model.

As a nation, Bendertopia remains on the fourth rung of Rostow's modernization model. They have not been able to achieve mass consumption as they do not have a far out reach past the continental borders. However, they have their own source of any, high literacy rates and plan to achieve many technological advances. Meaning that Bendertopia can be considered a core country.

The government works hard to create as many national parks and preserves as possible but their main resource is natural gas. They do attempt to counteract their wrongs but does not often serve the environment. In addition, there is commercial agriculture which has some practices that can be harmful to the natural landscape.

Modern Peppermince originated from a theocracy after settlers that broke away from a main group in central Fox News 7 settled in the western part of the desert. This settlement was called Tranquil Sands, and was the largest of many breakaway settlements throughout the desert. The settlements were all visited by one tribe on the northeastern edge of the desert that traded with other regions, then traveled throughout the desert, trading those goods again. Annual celebrations were held, including traders from other regions. As the small settlement of Tranquil Sands expanded, it retained its strong culture. A group of Pepperminceans traveled to Savaje State and assimilated into their culture. The tribal setting of the desert developed into cities. Tranquil Sands became the government theocratic seat of what became Peppermince. The government changed again, into a democracy. Set boundaries were established throughout Fox News 7 and countries from other continents settled there. Diamonds were found in two parts of Peppermince, and Tranquil Sands developed  into a primate city.

Peppermince is now a religion-based socialist democracy. It originated from a theocracy and retained the religion-based government. Originally a theocratic monarchy, the rulers were descended from Janxia, an early ruler who wrote their religious book. As time passed, the righteous ruler realized that the monarchy was creating unrest in the country. She traveled undercover throughout the country and observed the citizens, then chose the best candidates from each region to become the representatives of the government. This form of representative democracy pleased the citizens, who felt much better represented as soon as the change was announced, despite it not having occurred yet. After a very lengthy process, the new representatives were settled into the castle, and with the guidance of the old ruler, Favria, and the wisdom in Janxia’s book, began to work.

The choices of this democracy has caused the country’s civil rights to be very good, and the political freedom good. As a democracy, this was easier to achieve than if it was still a monarchy. The representative democracy, which this form of socialist democracy is, aims to create equality between citizens, create ways for those in poverty to be unimpoverished, and supports trade and labor unions, among other things. Although they are not excellent because of the failing economy and budget shortages, Peppermince is doing a remarkable job in its government. After the initial selection of representatives, citizens were able to vote for new representatives that went through a tedious and in-depth background, political views, and life check that was then available to the public so they could vote.  The citizens are free to participate in the government, but activities are highly overseen.

In addition to the very good civil rights and political freedom, Peppermince has a weak economy. The choices the government makes, although beneficial to the citizen’s rights, has a very poor effect on the economy. Peppermince’s diamond deposits are good on its economy, though. Peppermint has found diamonds in the west, in the closest mountain range. These diamonds were deposited near the base of the mountains and in the mountains after the great rift valley was formed, and moved as the continent continued to shift. There is also a small deposit in the river that reaches into the northwestern section of Peppermince/the desert. These were carried from the mountains by the river. Although the country has strict regulations on the mining of the diamonds and what they can be used for, the diamonds are used as tools (knives, drills, windows, engraving tools, dentistry tools, other medical devices, and prosthetic limb joints) and in jewelry. The diamonds have advanced Peppermince, providing ways for its economy to branch out into more technological industries.

To help its economy, Peppermince exports diamonds to Pandamoneeum, Bendertopia, Nostaldot, Dwillium, and GeneticallyModified Organism. Peppermince recieves natural gas, iron, terbium, mica, and silver, respectively, in return. The diamonds are used in industry and for jewelry domestically. The neighboring countries in my region are Pandemoneeum, which has natural gas, Bendertopia, which has iron ore, coal, and nickel. Nostaldot has terbium, scandium, and emeralds; Dwillium has mica, pearls, and gypsum; and the Christianictatoraship has oil and phosphate. In refining diamonds, diamond tools are needed for cutting. In the other stages, machines are needed for mining. This means that Peppermince can use natural gas for energy and iron ore for the building of them. Terbium can be used for fuel cells, lamps, and sensors, and mica can be used for electricity. GeneticallyModified Organisms has silver, which can be used for jewelry, but they don't produce much because of environmental laws. These additional choices for economical activities provide more ways for government and private companies to receive more income, in order to advance its economy more.

Peppermince has very good relationships with all of the original members of its continent. However, relations are strained with Maxtopia because of differences in opinion, which has caused a lack of trade.

The location of resources in Peppermince expanded cities around the diamond deposits. The original major city in Peppermince is Tranquil Sands, which is located in the southwest, near the coast. The diamond deposits are located in the mountains, and near Tranquil Sands. The other is in the river in the northeast, much farther away from Tranquil Sands. A boom town developed around the mountain deposit for mining, but Peppermincean laws put restrictions on mining, protecting the environment and keeping control of the deposits to limit corporate control. The river deposit is smaller, and attracted less people, but settlements still developed around it, disrupting trade routes. Tranquil Sands grew because it was so close to some of the mountain deposits, and became a hub of trade.

Specifically, Tranquil Sands developed into a primate city and became a center for trade. The following cities that developed in the mountains are of the larger cities, and the mining cities IN the mountains are slightly smaller. There are also cities on the coast because of the more temperate climate, and one of the larger cities near the river. The cities don’t follow the rate size rule because of uneven distribution of resources. Tranquil Sands follows the urban realms model with a central business district where most of the trade takes place. Citizens have areas of the city that mostly includes their activity spaces. The mining cities in the mountains are similar to the Sub-Saharan Africa model because that one includes a lot of mining with a little of manufacturing nearby.

Because railroads are good ways of transporting natural resources, the infastructure and transportation within Peppermince and Fox News 7 are mainly railroads. There are a few ports on Peppermince’s coast. Peppermince has no cars because of the detrimental environmental effects, but there are a few roads for the bikes and the occasional necessary shipment. E-cars are also used, but by very few citizens because of the convenience of railway. The government is currently working on developing even better and more convenient cars.

The people of Peppermince hold to an animistic religion called Jansphinxury. This religion is based off of the belief that there are beings that begin in the waves and then move to earth, inhabiting plants, animals, and objects that flourish in the harshest places, teaching humans and animals how to survive as well. There is no known founder, but many Pepperminceans believe this religion came to be when the founders of Peppermince reached the ocean after a long trek in the desert. They follow the book of Janxia, a former ruler of Peppermince. It talks about what she learned as she traveled through life and took a undercover mission into the normal Peppermincean's lives. She reflects on how they live and how they follow the religion, stating that this is the way everyone should live. She traveled deep into the desert and learned from the cacti, the moons, and the star. She wrote, "the essence of the waves lies not in the rulers of our state, but in the normal people who experience the disdain of rulers. They have learned from the moons, star, and cacti, the hares and wolves. We rulers have much to learn from them and should strive to be as kind and selfless as many are." Because of this, all Janxsphinxorians travel to the city of Hiland (the first city Janxia explored) and to the sacred site, White-tipped Lake, where she traveled to to learn from a cactus. It is said that the moons cried when the large cactus on an island in the middle of the lake died. The tears dripped silver onto the water and created a silver surface with snow white sand in the valley. This cactus was the embodiment of a deity and taught Janxia all she passed on.

Jansphinxurians strive to help others and must learn to read. This has caused cities that follow Jansphinxury to be clean and fairly rich. They cannot eat artificially created foods because that would cause them to be out of tune with the waves and nature. Wedding dresses must be red, the color of stones that line the bottom of Silver-Tipped Lake. There are really no other clothing restrictions. The rulers of the original monarchy have noses that are hard and the color of a penguin's beak. it is believed that penguins are the messengers of the waves and their coming marks a great event. Every now and then, they wash up on the beach and are worshipped and treated with the utmost reverence. Jansphinxury provides rules on how Peppermince should be governed, proving to be key in the government's life, lasting throughout the governmental change.

The current technological, social, and economical position of Peppermince most likely places it in stage 4, drive to maturity, of Rostow’s Modernization model. The country has already experienced a political change and regional growth. The country never really experienced industrial growth because of the strict environmental laws and form of government, and it is definitely diverse. It hasn’t quite become less reliant on imports yet because it is in a desert and its economy is based off of its diamonds. Compared to Wallerstein’s World Systems Theory, Pepeprmince would most likely be part of the core. They specialize in light industry and diamonds. The cities are also very clean and well established despite the poor economy.

In Peppermince, man has impacted the environment negatively, but the impact isn’t large. The continent of Fox News 7 tries to be environmentally friendly, and Peppermince in particular does. Since citizens live in the desert and the mountains, desertification at the edge of the desert is a problem, but not a currently threatening one. Peppermince’s government makes sure to do pass laws that are good for the environment.

The people of Nostaldot left The Jungle to escape the dramatic leaders and failing way of life. They explored the plains and hiked the towering mountains, unaware of the active volcano they traveled next to. They were on a mission to reach the ocean, and nothing would stop them. They, of course, had no idea if they would ever find it, perhaps the land went on forever, but they trusted in the signs they had received earlier on their journey. When they finally made it to the ocean, most of them returned to the sight on the creek that pointed them to the sea because they thought this place to be a sacred site given to them by the goddess Naest. They built their town, called Frozen Creek, around the tree that stood taller and much more massive than the rest and that leaned in the direction of the ocean. Houses radiated from this tree and grew to become large buildings. The tree itself lives on, nearly a thousand years later and remains the center of politics and government for both Frozen Creek and the entirety of Nostaldot.

Because Frozen Creek grew steadily and with great influence from the religion Estronis, the government has always been comprised of people from all walks of life whom most of which have jobs outside of the government. The congress has representatives from each group of people, depending on the group’s population. For example, there are both teenagers and the elderly and people from every religion. This created the Republic that Nostaldot is today. It has and always will be run by the people. Therefore, government decisions are made with the people as a whole in mind. The representatives are chosen by the group in which they belong, each person only representing one group. This voting creates excellent political freedom and the representation creates good civil rights.

Nostaldot’s economy is good due to trade conducted with a variety of countries. Though Nostaldot was self sufficient for a long while, it eventually created relationships with Peppermince and Bendertopia because of the close proximity and the trust that had been built through generations of communication. Nostaldot’s respect of nature keeps it from using up its resources, so it can therefore remain sustainable and will not waste energy. Today, much of its economy relies on its extensive trade networks. Nostaldot’s main resources include scandium, sapphire, and terbium. These resources can create clean energy, durable metal, and beautiful decor and jewelry, all produced within the country. The sapphires of Nostaldot are found in the country's mountain range, and is used in jewelry. Scandium can be found virtually anywhere in a compound form, but concentrations of it can be found in the northern most part of Nostaldot. It can be used along with aluminum to create a stronger, corrosion resistant, heat tolerant, weldable aluminum products often used in transportation, especially in aircraft. Terbium is used in crystal stabilizers in fuel cells, actuators, naval sonar systems and sensors, fluorescent lamps, and TV lamps. The sapphire can be traded with Bendertopia for iron and nickel, which is used for stainless steel. Nostaldot also trades with Guacamoly for uranium, which paired with the fuel cells made from terbium, creates an immense amount of energy.  With Geneticallymodified Organisms, Nostaldot trades scandium for aluminum, which can make the extremely durable aircraft metal. Also with GmO, Nostaldot trades sapphires for silver. In both relationships, both countries can create these things. Terbium is traded with Peppermince for diamonds. Sapphires are traded with Pandamoneeum for natural gas, though renewable energy remains Nostaldot's main source of energy. All of these things are produced within the country. Most large cities have either developed at the raw material site or close the borders and ports. The city of Havanee has developed in the mountains on the sapphire mines and resembles the sector model of urbanization. White Caps developed near the scandium concentration and also follows the sector model. Raval on the terbium mines and has a multiple nuclei effect. Because of this over sea trade, a city was established on the nation's coast, called Dronian. It, therefore resembles the Southeast Asian model. Because of trade with the neighboring countries of Bendertopia and Pandamonium, Nostaldot also has built a city close to the border, called Janeria which follows again the sector model. Frozen Creek itself also seems to have developed like a sector model city. Each of these cities, though, have of course come to have aspects of the multiple nuclei model and now have hinterlands. The transportation network within Nostaldot is very efficient because of the government’s interest in connecting people. This is due to the treasured diversity that may be a centrifugal force, so the government tries to do all it can to create centripetal forces, such as a connected transportaion structure. Because of trade networks, a vast majority of the transportation is export oriented, with railroads, highways, and ports leading from natural resources to other countries.

Nostaldot did not spend much time in the first stage of the modernization model because of the immediate surplus of lumber, which was the primary occupation of most of the citizens-- agriculture being second. Also the people have always considered education of the utmost importance partly because of the large amounts of free (doing nothing but walking) time they would’ve had in their journey cross-continent. Because the government was people based and because of the high intelligence of the people, governmental flexibility would be inevitable. It would seem that they would have remained here because of the country’s lack of coal, but the people of Nostaldot found other ways to industrialize, including water and wind power. Therefore, they would be in a place resembling stage three, but with better working conditions and better health. In fact, they basically skipped stage three because of the already strong trade relationships creating a good economy. But, because Nostaldot is very central and keeps people within the country connected, it remains somewhat closed off to the world. This does not affect its economy since it still trades, but the country’s main focus is staying together, it does not need to have anything to do with colonies and other countries business if it does not affect them. Therefore, Nostaldot has standards of a core country without the global power that a core country might have and is in the fifth stage of Rostow’s Modernization Model.

Finally, because of religious respect of nature and all aspects of it, the people of Nostaldot have had minimal negative effect on it. They have, in fact, always worked in nature’s best interests in mind because of their understanding of the fact that nature takes care of them and that they should not mess that up. Negative effects would be only the cutting of trees to make space for civilization and for the wood needed for nearly everything the people create, but for every tree they chop, another is planted somewhere else, as has been a core belief of Estronis since its creation.

Nostaldot is a very religious country that thrives as a republic. People are given equal representation and have a strong say in governmental decisions. They protect the environment and do their best to remain self-sufficient. Though politically closed off from the rest of the world, Nostaldot has created lasting trade networks. Civilizations are built around these trade networks and near the source of raw materials and natural resources. With an economy based mostly on trade, but with major additions from raw materials, Nostaldot is a core country in the fifth stage of Rostow’s Modernization Model.

What is now the Confederacy of Dwyllnia was, at one point, a loose collection of warring tribes. A coalition between the Rhyr tribe, in the northwest, and the Cryae ("cree"), in the far north, achieved unification of the land, and created the original Confederacy that lasts to this day. Since its founding, the Confederacy has modernized rapidly, becoming a strong influence in Fox News 7 and in Sfear.

The heavy majority religion, Poultranism, is not a priority for the government, and receives minimal or no government funds. In recent times, the Confedracy's legislative body, the Dwyllnian Parliament, has been taken over by multinational corporations, who have severely limited the state's political freedoms, while its civil rights are constantly fluctuating. The corporate takeover of the government has been a result of a frighteningly efficient economy, and a large manufacturing industry. Dwyllnia's pearl and jewelry industry is prominent, along with arms manufacturing. Mica and gypsum are valued less, and do not contribute as much to the economy. These resources did result in the creation of settlements around them, with cities developing closer to the McGee model being located near the coast, and cities resembling the Sector Model cropping up further inland.

Dwyllnia, politically, tends to be untrusting of other states. Their few allies include Christianic Tatorship, Lego Town, and Blykland, with whom international commerce regularly takes place. Otherwise, Dwyllnia is either indifferent or possesses much hatred (Maxae) for other countries. The OCTNOR railway based in the Christianic Tatorship, spans parts of Fox News 7, and Dwyllnian corporations often utilize the railway to transport manufactured goods and to slip in advertisements along the rails.

Dwyllnia’s powerful economy, headed by the gambling, beverage, and retail industries, could lead one to classify it in stage four of Rostow’s Modernization Model. As industries such as the timber woodchipping and automobile manufacturing continue to grow, expect Dwyllnia to further establish itself as a fourth or fifth stage country in Rostow’s model. With most, if not all, of its industries classified among Sfear’s elite economies, and a military to match, Dwyllnia can be classified as one of the planet’s core countries. As for its environment, it has heavily suffered from the economy, with many forests and swamps having been turned into giant retail centers and manufacturing plants.

What started out as a humble, chicken-worshipping, deaf, farming community has over time become a global powerhouse where the majority of people live and work in inhumane conditions in the oil fields for massive corporations that hold massive international power. The Christianic Tatorship was originally just a settlement of a few hundred or so radical Poultranists that sat near the sea on a low-lying hill surrounded by the richest soil in northwestern Fox News 7. The settlement dubbed “St. Upid Towne” by its Stupidiotic inhibitors was built around its agriculture and sea ports. The settlement established riches in its agriculture trade, especially with its southern neighbors. It was at this time that a large merchant population left for those very lands, establishing a trading outpost just north of the jungle heartland of Dwyllnia. Just a few centuries later, the St. Upid Towne population saw a massive influx of its lower class leave in the Oil Rush of the 19th century. Not to long after that, Lego Town and Dwyllnia establish government-approved colonies, providing a spark plug for diversity and the final nail in the coffin for the homogeniality of the Christianic Tatorship.

The Christianic Tatorship has a long and storied tradition with monarchies that dates back to the days of St. Upid Towne. While in the past St. Upid Towne had a basic system of absolute power resting in a universally recognized, highly-respected elder, today's politics has expanded into an extremely complex and intricate system involving sham elections and false checks and balances. This modern government is mostly concerned with staying in power, as it really does not concern itself with civil matters, instead opting for the policy of “Anything, but an Overthrow”. It is a self-described “Benevolent Dictatorship”, but has been called a “kakistocracy” by well-respected international leader, and President of Dwyllnia, Kenny G.

The secular government (despite its secular policy, the leadership does tend to conform to Poultranism on a personal scale)  of The Christianic Tatorship is split into four separate branches. The first, of which, being the Executive Branch. It is headed by The Sovereign (the equivalent of a king or queen), who essentially holds absolute power. Most of the time, The Sovereign chooses to establish numerous committees to focus on specific issues to allow them to make the wisest decision. It is tradition that The Sovereign also create a contingency plan in case of their untimely death. The second branch, the Legislature, is made up of thirteen separate houses designed to produce a sense of representation within the populace when, in actuality, there is none. The Judiciary is a single-house council made up of an indefinite amount of people that can rise and fall at the discretion of The Sovereign. The final branch is the St. Upid Towne Administration, which is in place to specifically suit the issues of the St. Upid Towne metropolitan area, as the problems of those regions are fundamentally different from the rest of the country. It is made up of nine houses designed to somewhat show representation from the different wards and interest groups of the metropolis. Despite this, the Legislature, Judiciary, and St. Upid Towne Administration serve no real purpose, as most of the time they are bypassed and/or ignored when enacting policies for the purposes of “political efficiency”, and when they aren't they basically have to do whatever The Sovereign tells them to because  he or she can remove members of any branch at any time they please even without reason.

Christianic Tatorship

The government of The Christianic Tatorship serves a limited amount of functions. The beginning and ending of its functions would be staying in power, hence the aforementioned policy of “Anything, but an Overthrow”. Its second goal, is to manage and maintain an extremely competitive Olympic team to feature world-class athletes. This includes but is not limited to training elite athletes from birth to become these extremely capable human beings that can set world records, and hosting international sporting events such as the Olympics. The final function of the government is to raise funds for its military and Olympic teams. This is generally done through sponsorships and the leasing of military units.

The pure capitalist economy of the Christianic Tatorship has left a vastly different landscape across the country. By this, “vastly different” means a high-quality, first-world society in the northern metropolitan of St. Upid Towne, but a poverty-stricken third-world just about everywhere else. The Greater St. Upid Towne area is a region that has undergone deindustrialization and is well within an age of high mass consumption. This area, if a sovereign state, would definitely be considered a core country. The St. Upid Towne metropolis in the northern region of the Christianic Tatorship is highly developed and dominated by the industrial and manufacturing sectors. Similarly, the eastern coast and exclusive colonial territory granted to Lego Town and Dwyllnia is an area where industrialization happened quickly to meet the demands of the nearby oil fields and lumber industries, being that the living conditions and infrastructure are poor. These specific areas, if independent, would be considered semi-peripheral. The central and southern regions are extremely poor people who work in oil drilling and phosphate mining. This area comprising most of the country is the driving reason why most international experts classify The Christianic Tatorship is a peripheral country.

In terms of economic activities not major to the Christianic Tatorship, they are few and far between. Nearly any land not already being used for oil, phosphates, lumber, or manufacturing is used for some sort of agricultural activity. This number is further limited by the amount of land rendered useless due to it being ravaged by the massive amount of mining operations. In the north, there is a small amount of commercial farming and agriculture in the areas immediately surrounding St. Upid Towne. In the highly populated central and southern regions, there are innumerous subsistence farms to feed the large and still-growing families. Because of this lack of major agricultural planning, food imports are highly relied upon by its international trading partners. These food imports are primarily used to feed the large military presence in the central and southern regions, as there is not a large enough surplus from family farms to supplement the forces.

The Christianic Tatorship does not have a diversity of natural resources, but the natural resources it does have are in abundance. The Christianic Tatorship is rich with oil and phosphates. Oil is primarily used for gasoline, asphalt, petrochemicals, generic products, and as an energy source. It is especially evident with oil, the concepts of supply chains and vertical integration. Sirocco Io, the largest oil drilling company in The Christianic Tatorship, is owned by OmniCorp. The oil drilled by Sirocco Io transfers their oil to OmniFacturing (also owned by OmniCorp). The manufactured goods of OmniFacturing are, in turn, transferred to their respective subcompanies underneath OmniCorp (including, but not limited to: OmniTrax, OmniWheels, OmniRail, and OmniRoad). Moreover, phosphates are primarily used for fertilizers, methamphetamine, and phosphoric acid. Additionally, the major industries of The Christianic Tatorship are Arms Manufacturing, Beverage Sales, Pizza Delivery, Retail, Timber Woodchipping, Cheese Exports, Insurance, Manufacturing, Mining, Furniture Restoration, and Information Technology. Mining companies have swept to The Christianic Tatorship for the chance at garnering riches from oil and phosphates, while manufacturing companies have came to The Christianic Tatorship for its lack of regulation, cheap and large laborforce, and tax haven status. Oil and phosphates have allowed Christianic companies to trade internationally, the largest of whom being Dwyllnia and Lego Town. As one of the three largest oil-producing countries, oil companies are encouraged to join (any company worth its salt is a member) the IOPC (International Oil Partnership Council) in order to self-regulate oil production. This is mostly in place to avoid oversupplies of oil on the market and to avoid price gouging.

At this point, infrastructure is about where you would expect. Well-developed in the north  and nearly non-existent everywhere else. Infrastructure is built by companies so there is a monetary incentive to construct these in the metropolitan area, but not so much in the poor regions of the central and south. Despite this, the oil and phosphate trade have demanded that transportation systems are to be built from St. Upid Towne and its metropolis down the eastern coast (along the Refinery Belt), and from those same northern regions, down the center of the country to the most southwestern phosphate mines. This is evidenced by the construction of roads, railroads, and the OCTNOR (OmniCorp TransNational OmniRail) being built directly through these areas.

Not long after the nation-states were established, various issues resulted in a massive outflow of migrants throughout Fox News 7. Most of these migrants converged in the center of the continent, founding the settlement # (pronounced “pound”). The only group of migrants not to join the new community were the deaf Stupidiots, who wandered south, into northern Dwyllnia. Today, # is a culturally diverse collective well known for taking neutral stances on every conflict. Historically, #ers have been known to be merchants and traders, spreading goods and more importantly, maps, throughout the continent. None of the original six states officially recognize # as another state, and thus, was excluded from the continent’s supranational organization, Megastates United For Future IntracoNtinental Security (MUFFINS). Technically Peppermince owns the rights to the land that # occupies.
