Manufacturing: In January 2019, our manufacturing facility began a composting program for our juice waste. We anticipate to compost over 500,000 pounds of produce waste this year. In addition to composting we utilize ugly fruit. By curating all of our fruit we have been able to contribute to the food waste movement.Packaging: Your customers will be excited to learn that our boles are comprised of 25% post-consumer recycled material. In addition, our plastics are made of polyethylene terephthalate, which is the easiest of plastics to recycle. All of our juices shipped direct are packed in environmentally friendly packaging material. We utilize Green Cell Foam which requires 70% less energy and produces 80% less greenhouse gasesthan petroleum based foams. Twisted Alchemy cold-pressed moro blood orange juice mixer is a carefully pressed purely from the Moro variety from Italy, and Sanguinello of Spain. The blood orange likely originated from a hybrid of pomelo and tangerine fruits in the mid-18th century in the southern Mediterranean. The dark blood-like maroon color comes from the antioxidant Anthocyanin, which spreads from the peel to the center flesh of each fruit. Cold Pressed Passion Fruit JuiceDescription: Passion Fruit (Passiflora Edulis) is a species of the passion flower native to South America. It’s a sweet, seedy fruit and can be yellow or dark purple when ripe with a soft juicy inside filled with numerous seeds and pulp. We juice this native fruit in our Dominican Republic plant and combine it with cold pressed sugar cane stalk to add some needed sweetness. We never heat treat this juice to maintain the brightness and flavor of this delicate fruit.
