We have expanded access to mentalhealth care by developing newpartnerships within our community. Weare collaborating with MVP Recovery andChester County Department of Drug andAlcohol, expanding our work with ChesterCounty Children, Youth, & Family Services,and advancing our programs onsite at theChester County Prison.Make a contribution by December 31st tohelp us expand Gateway HorseWorks’transformational mental health care in ourcommunity.Susannah is not our only client who hasexperienced the transformative potential ofincorporating horses into her mental healthtreatment.Thanks to your support, we haveincreased the number of sessionsoffered on the farm by 73% to date compared to all of 2022. Susannah, an Air Force Veteran, came tothe farm as an individual client. Sincecompleting her sessions she has beenoutspoken about the impact of her timeat Gateway HorseWorks. You can readSusannah’s story in her own words:MEET SUSANNAH“As a Veteran suffering from PTSD, Ihad issues with fear, trust, and self-love. Gateway HorseWorks taught memy feelings were trauma-based. Iwasn’t damaged or crazy. ‘I am a Humanhaving Human feelings and reactions!’ No one had ever told me that before andthat was HUGE for me! Having continuallove and guidance from the facilitators,working with the horses, immersingmyself in the majestic beauty of thefarm and the surroundings, getting myhands dirty in the garden and listening tothe frogs in the pond- was all part of avery important therapeutic puzzle. . . “Servingmore peoplein RecoveryTreatingthe FamilySystem Expandingprograms inthe prison “Gateway HorseWorkschanged my life!”73%Sessions increased
