A message from Hannah As we move through the summer we continue to enhance the facilities for our animals on Dales Farm Currently under construction is a pond area for our ducks The digging has been completed and now we await the arrival of oxygenating plants a floating duck house and perhaps a few drops of water We are in the final stages of sign off for the work on the new Caf to commence This is an exciting project that will really improve the facilities that we offer to both our Day Service Customers and the General Public The new building will include alongside the caf and commercial kitchen a common room area exclusively for the use of the Day Service customers a soft play area and a shop This is a really exciting project However it will cause some disruption across the site Once work begins we will ensure that we post regular updates on our website We are looking forward to the Day Service summer BBQ and Disco on the 2nd August and hope to see lots of our customers along with their friends and family there With the sun shining please ensure that you dress for the weather and wear sun hats and sun cream Don t forget to use the new filtered water dispenser in the customer dining room Quiz Corner 1 W h i c h B r i t ish s e a s i d e attraction is 158 meters tall 2 Which group had a top 10 hit with Summer Sunshine in 2004 3 Which year has been the warmest on record since 1820 4 True or false thunderstorms are most likely to hit the South East of England Answers can be found on the back page August Barbeque Beach Camping Humid Ice cream July Lemonade Ocean Picnic Sailing Sand Sandals Shorts Sunglasses Sunny Towel Warm

Ferring Funders and Friends We would like to thank everyone from Worthing Custom Scooter Show 2019 for choosing to support us at their annual scooter show held on 6th April The day was a huge success and they raised a massive 3061 67 for our Centre Please see their facebook page for details of next years show We would also like to thank Goring indoor bowls club for supporting us at their Annual Charity Match which was played on 22nd June The event included an afternoon tea and raffle They raised 410 which will be used to purchase equipment for our catering department We would also like to thank Joyce Parsonage Sarah Fooks Littlehampton Quakers Greenman Ale and Cider House Clifton Community Church Gemma May Katie Holiday and Vicki Woodard for their generous donations Worthing Mayors Donates 5000 The Worthing Mayor Paul Baker chose Ferring Country Centre along with Guildcare Haviland House and Love Your Hospital Worthing as his 3 Charities to support during his Mayoral year The Mayors fundraising year started on 18th May 2018 The Mayor The Mayoress and the committee worked tirelessly to organise fundraising events throughout the year There were many fantastic events car washes Sponsored swim Film nights Dance show and Charity Ball to name but a few On 7th May 2019 the Mayor and Mayoress presented Bob Rogers Hannah Tombs and Sam Kirk with a cheque for 5000 We would like to thank everyone who gave up their time donated prizes and supported these events
