Now I am looking forward to 2024, and I don’t know about you, but my diary is already filling up fast. Rob and I have a policy that once it’s in the diary it’s fixed and anything that comes along later is just too late, otherwise things get messy!We are already committed to a large number of events in 2024 (and we thought it was going to be a quiet year!). Some of the events we are attending as guests, while others we are involved in organising. The two events that I am most looking forward to in 2024 will be the Shetland Classic Motor Show, which I will attend as a guest with a number of friends, and Nigel Webb’s Based on 2023 we’re looking forward to another busy and successful season in 2024.2024 EVENTS SEASON2event at The Mike Hawthorn Museum, which I will be helping to organise.On the weekend of 3rd and 4th August, Nigel Webb will once again be hosting an event for owners of Mk1, MkV, MkVII, MkVIII, MkIX, XJ Coupe and manual transmission XJ40/X300 XJR. This will be a very special weekend, held at the Mike Hawthorn Museum near Dorking in Surrey and supported by the Jaguar Drivers Club and Xclusively Jaguar. Owners of the above Jaguar/Daimler models are welcome, whatever the condition of your car, be it a contender for Concours d’Elegance, your daily driver or a project brought to the event on a trailer. Dirty, clean or unfinished, we want you to share your passion for your car! Gates will open at 10.00am on both days and further details, along with the full address of the venue, will be sent once you have registered, as is our usual practice. Mk1, MkV, MkVII, MkVIII & MkIX will feature on Saturday 3rd August 2024 followed by XJ Coupe and MANUAL XJ40/X300 XJR on Sunday 4th August 2024. Entrants will be treated to one of Nigel’s legendary Hog Roasts and lunch will be followed by a presentation, on both days, courtesy of Peter Leake.
