Hello February!Who always has a date on Valentine’s Day? A Calendar!!! Happy Valentine’s Day to each of you. February is short and sweet which is great by me because it means we are that much closer to Spring and warmer temperatures. This month we will also celebrate Black History Month, President’s Day, Ground Hog Day, and Mardi Gras. Plus, we have National Dark Chocolate Day, National Tator Tot Day, National Carrot Cake Day, National Pizza Day, National Cheddar Day, National Drink Wine Day (Why is this not a National Holiday?), and so much more! That seems like a whole lot to celebrate in one short month! One of my favorite days is February 17 which is National Random Acts of Kindness Day. My challenge, to you my Chamber Friends and Family, is to celebrate this day with gusto.Let’s make the world, and our beloved North County, a better and kinder place by doing Random Acts of Kindness all month long! I hope you all accept the challenge! Our Chamber staff has many great events to celebrate this month too.I hope to see you at the Off the Clock event on February 9, 2023, right here at Johnny Londoff Chevrolet. We will celebrate this Month of Love and Kindness with a Business After Hours on our Showroom Floor. Please stop by from 5 pm to 7 pm for food and drinks, courtesy of Johnny Londoff Chevrolet. Team Londoff will be here in force to greet each of you.Let’s not forget the Membership Luncheon on Wednesday, February 15th at Catering to You and the Women in Networking lunch on Tuesday, February 14th at Ferguson Brewing Company. Please check the Chamber Calendar for a list of all the other events set for February. I am sure there is one to meet the needs of each of you. What do you call a colorful heart that loves books? Well-Red!!! I hope this month is filled with kindness and good vibes for each of you. Try to carve out a little time for just you – Relax, read a book, meditate, or just chill. Don’t forget to share kindness throughout the month. I look forward to seeing you soon.Warmest regards,Chair LetterKittyKitty HarrisonPage 4

We are a group of like-minded businesspeople that focus on a relationship-first style of “networking”. We want the best for our clients, friends and family and the relationships that we have built in the chamber and specifically in our leads group allows us to provide introductions for the services that they need.At each meeting we feature one of our members so they have extra time to educate our members on how they can best serve our group and the community.Leads 2 meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday from Noon to 1pm at the Chamber office. Feel free to bring your lunch and network with us. You can contact Brian Douglas with questions or to see if your classification is represented… (314)599-0377 or brian.douglas.j009@statefarm.com Page 21Leads Group I meets every Thursday at Helfer's Pastries and Deli, 380 St. Ferdinand in Florissant, 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. Open networking takes place from 7:30 - 7:45. At 7:45 the meeting opens with an inspirational moment, members take turns sharing about new developments in their business, suggesting what leads would be helpful to them and reporting on leads they have given on behalf of others. Members take turns making a ten-minute presentation, updating the group on new developments in their business, seeking advice and sharing expertise. Leads Group I is seeking new membership in the following areas: HVAC, electric, plumbing, banking. Interested persons are welcome to visit the group and participate in a meeting. To become a full member, the business must be a Greater North County Chamber member and their business cannot be in competition with the business of another group member. This is theperfect group for the person who wants to hit the ground running. Here, the early bird doesn't get the worm: that bird can purchase a super breakfast - supporting another Chamber business (Helfer's) - while honing business strategies. To get more information, contact Teri Reiter, secretary for the group, at teri@freedom-title.com, or call Teri at (314) 495-9800.
