WHAT IS THE LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERING NEWS FROM THE CHURCHES The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is an annual offering collected by believers around the world to support international missions The offering was officially named in 1918 by Woman s Missionary Union in honor of the missionary to China who urged churches to start it and give sacrificially This offering is unique from other mission offerings in that 100 of gifts provide for missionaries all over the world It is a valuable part of Southern Baptists 177 year history of reaching the nations with the gospel and vital to reaching the vision of a multitude from every language people tribe and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ The global need for missions is more urgent than ever 157 690 people are dying daily without Christ There are 7 223 unreached people groups with 4 7 billion unreached people www peoplegroups org The world population is growing by almost 1 5 million people every week while it s estimated that evangelical Christians only share the gospel approximately 275 000 times per week Every church regardless of size or resources has a role to play in reaching every nation Your generosity through praying and giving are the lifeblood of Southern Baptist Missions Thank you in advance for being a part of this movement for Christ DR MARK A BOYD TRINITY BAPTIST CHURCH IDABEL Pastors Ministerial Staff and Wives Christmas Fellowship will be at FBC Valliant on Friday December 2nd Dinner at 6 30 PM Dress is Sunday Best Photographs will be taken Nursery will be provided Our Nailbenders are helping Trinity Baptist Church of Idabel with completing a temporary 16x40 office space building that is located now in their parking lot The plans call for three offices and two bathrooms Our first crew will be framing the inside walls on Tuesday Dec 6th Our KBA plumber Jon Bryant has agreed to do the plumbing rough Bro in I am in need Mark Boydof someone with electrical experience to do a very basic electrical rough in All materials will be provided Call my office if you are willing to donate your time to help Trinity Baptist 754 SHOEBOXES A total of 591 shoeboxes was delivered to Oak Grove Baptist Church and was delivered by Pastor Kyle to the Durant distribution point FBC Wright City did an additional 163 boxes that they delivered That s 754 shoeboxes total Great Job Everyone Thank you for your love and support in this endeavor Continue to pray for Trinity Baptist Church of Idabel as they began the rebuilding efforts of their facility Above is a picture at their location with a CROSS carved from what was left from a tree that was blown over DECEMBER 2 Pastors Ministry Staff Wives Christmas Fellowship Dinner 4 Lottie Moon Offering Sunday 25 Christmas Day 26 29 Office Closed for Christmas New Years JANUARY 1 New Year s Day 9 Administrative Committee Meeting 10 AM 10 Executive Board Meeting 6 30 PM Sawyer Baptist 12 13 Brotherhood Sisterhood Revivals 15 16 Youth Evangelism Conference 22 Sanctity of Human Life Sunday 30 31 Advance Conference From Your Frisco Baptist Disaster Relief Ministry A big shout out to FBC Idabel for hosting our Disaster Relief teams from across the state prior to Thanksgiving We had a total of 150 volunteers that worked out of FBC Idabel during our DR relief effort Our teams completed a total of 162 work orders in SE Oklahoma from the multiple tornadoes that occurred earlier in the month Our very own Blue Hat Nelson Camp has been promoted to a White Hat within our statewide Disaster Relief organization So many people to thank for a job well done as we saw our residents from SE Oklahoma pull together to help each other in their time of need I am so thankful that we have one of the best DR teams in the state and for their willingness to go above and beyond in helping others Paul is our resident chainsaw artist with our team and the picture below was from one of the residences that was impacted by the storms It is time to get connected Download our Frisco Baptist Association APP from the Apple Store and the Google Play Store for your IOS and Android devices www FriscoBaptist com 1101 W Finley P O Box 888 Hugo OK 74743 580 326 9625 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
