Featuring: Water Into Wine: A Fresh Expression Ministry Of Eagle Lake United Methodist Church Rev. Cathy McCorkle, Pastor Message From Pastor Cathy McCorkle Good Aernoon Wonderful District! I wanted to share with you Eagle Lake United Methodist Church's Fresh Expression. Water Into Wine started over a year ago at the local Italian eatery in town, Lamberto's. Some of the church members come together at 6:30 pm bringing friends and inving others who walk into the restaurant that we may know. Once we have gathered at the table and put in our food orders, we bless the food and the establishment. Following the prayer, someone in the group reads a Jesus story from the Gospels. Aer the story is read, the reader then asks a queson. Just one or two quesons are asked. These quesons provoke thought and a srring conversaon around the table as well as other though provoking quesons. Once the meal is served, we connue in conversaon and fellowship ll all are ready to leave. We had as many as 18 people around the table. This is a wonderful me of fellowship with friends and neighbors as we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our community! Aached you will nd a couple of pictures from Monday Sept. 16th.
