PRINTSFabric and Steel prints are inspired by art, architecture and theurban landscape in which we live and work.Hand printing.The designs are then transferred to screens and hand printed byartisans in New England.Why not digital printing? The way to tell whether a diamond is real or synthetic? The syntheticone is “perfect,” and perfectly reproducible, while the natural one isidentified by its “flaws” that provide the essential character of thestone.Hand printed textiles may have small irregularities and variation,just as authentic prints have had for millennia.Beyond the aesthetic, hand printing is also much more durable:while digital printing lays dyes on top of the fabric which wear offwith use, hand screen printing forces the dyes through the fabric,permeating the threads.

She holds a degree in arthistory from Ne w York University.Her experience, education and passion forarchitecture and design propel the quality andinform the aesthetic of the F&S collection.
