DAY TRIPS|TOURS | 8Historic Home Progressive Tour Suggested tour seasons: Spring and FallThe motor coach will arrive in Columbia at the parking lot across from the Polk Home, where restrooms are available atthe Visitors Center. Your step-on guide will join you here. The first stop is the James K. Polk Home, featuring a tour with aslideshow, exhibits, and a gift shop. Guests can enjoy beverages in the courtyard.Next, we’ll board the coach to the Historic Athenaeum for a tour of the grounds and house, followed by appetizers servedon the covered back porch. We’ll conclude at Elm Springs with a Southern-style buffet dinner, including sweet tea anddesserts. After dinner, tour the mansion and visit the new gift shop and museum.Historic Home Progressive Lunch TourStart at Rippa Villa in Spring Hill, TN to tour the mid-1850s Greek Revival home and grounds.
