Methodologically innovative and rigorous research now shows that this disparity is almost certainly caused by the multiple forms of stigma that SGM individuals experience across the lifespan. This presentation will review theoretical and empirical advances in psychiatric epidemiology and developmental psychopathology that identify the mechanisms through which stigma compromises SGM individuals’ mental health that can also serve as promising treatment targets for identity-afrming psychotherapies. The presentation will then discuss the development, application and efcacy of the rst identity-afrming mental health intervention for SGM individuals to be tested in randomized controlled trials. The concept of body image, which is often addressed in eating disorders treatment, must be approached with a nuanced understanding of the importance of self-determination and centering on trans and/or nonbinary people’s own experiences of their bodies. In this presentation, Dr. Chang will address some of the ways that eating disorders, sometimes referred to as “weight and shape control behaviors,” may be different and therefore must be treated differently with trans and/or nonbinary patients. Coming Home to Ourselves: Guiding the Return to Sexual Experiencing in Eating Disorder RecoverySpeakers: Brittany Lacour, LCSThe majority of individuals with an eating disorder report at least one traumatic experience, the majority of which are sexual in nature. Even without a traumatic experience, Western culture rejects attunement with internal experiencing, leaving most of us disconnected from the messages of our bodies, therapists and practitioners included. In this presentation, we will help the provider reconnect with their own physical sensations to better guide eating disorder patients through the recovery process. Binge Eating Disorder Across Levels of Care: A Clinician’s Guide to Assessing Level of Care and Practical Interventions for the Outpatient ProviderJoin Eating Recovery Center’s Binge Eating Treatment Team for an overview of Binge Eating Disorder across levels of care. Presenters will explore presentations of binge eating, disinhibited eating and associated disorders (such as BN and OSFED). I am logged into the CE portal but it will not let me complete all of the requirements. How do I get help? Sometimes people experience difculty navigating the portal if they are using an unsupported web browser. We nd that Chrome works best with our portal. If you have tried switching browsers and are still experiencing difculty, please check that you have successfully completed each requirement before moving on to the next. Have you passed the posttest? Have you answered all of the questions in the evaluation? Did you sign the attestation? Of course, there may be an issue with the system that is preventing you from completing the requirements. If you have tried to troubleshoot and still cannot get through, please email continuing.education@ercpathlight.com. We are happy to help! I see the General Conference Evaluation as a requirement in every session. Do I have to complete the General Conference Evaluation for each session? The General Conference Evaluation must be completed once to meet the CE requirements for the conference. You will have the option to complete this evaluation when completing the CE requirements for each of the sessions. If you have already completed it, you can skip it in future sessions. How can I reset my password? To reset your password, please email continuing.education@ercpathlight.com. We are happy to help! I couldn’t watch all of the live sessions. Can I still get credit? To meet the requirements for CE credits you need to watch at least 90% of each session. If you have to step away and did not watch an entire live session you will be able to view the recording of the session 3 hours after the session is completed. After viewing the recording, you can click the link to access the CE portal and complete the CE requirements for the session. I watched the conference with a group. Can we all earn CE credits? Only individuals who have registered for the conference will be able to earn CE credits. If members of your group are registered for the conference, they will be able to access the CE portal and complete the requirements to earn credit. If you plan to watch the conference as a group, please contact continuing.education@ercpathlight.com so we can set up the attendance record for your group. I want to watch the presentation again before completing my CE requirements. Can I do that? Yes! You can watch the recordings as many times as you would like. The sessions will remain active on the conference website until December 31, 2022. What should I do if I have trouble registering? Register using the Chrome web browser. Registration is sometimes incompatible with certain browsers. Ensure that your billing address and ZIP code exactly match the information for your credit card. If they do not match or if you do not enter a billing address, your payment will not be processed. Ensure you are using a card we accept. We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diners Club and JCB via our secure payment gateway, Authorize.net. Full conference registrants have access to all sessions and events. Even if you cannot attend all sessions live, you will have access to recordings of all live sessions plus ALL prerecorded breakout sessions. Is group pricing available? Group pricing is not available. What should I do if I need to cancel? How do we handle refund requests? You may request a refund by emailing continuing.education@ercpathlight.com with the subject line “Refund Request.” Please include your transaction/receipt number, which you will have received upon registration. We will do our best to process refund requests within two business days. If you created an account during registration, you will be able to log in and modify your registration by clicking the login button in the upper right corner of this website. You may also consider transferring the registration to someone else in your organization. See below for instructions. However, note that registrations cannot be shared. If an access code was used to view live or prerecorded content, even if CE credits were not earned, registration cannot be transferred. Can I transfer my registration if I can no longer attend? Yes! You may transfer your registration to someone else in your organization. We are proud to offer CE credits for counselors, psychologists, nurses, physicians and dietitians. Our national accreditations can qualify for continuing education credits for other mental health licensures as well.
