A COMPASSIONATE CARE TEAMYour child will be cared for by a team of renowned experts who specialize in treating children and adolescents, ages 8-17, with eating disorders and other co-occurring mental health issues. They will help them better understand their illness, learn coping skills and tools to build resilience, and discover the life they want.Expert treatment team includes: PsychiatristIndividual Therapist/Family TherapistDietitianPrimary Care Physician NurseEducation SpecialistPROVEN, EVIDENCE-BASED TREATMENT Based on your loved one’s unique needs, our treatment team will develop a customized, evidence-based treatment plan. Your child will participate in individual and age-appropriate group therapy sessions. Group therapy will provide them with a safe, nurturing environment where they can connect with others who are in a similar situation and practice newly learned skills.
NUTRITIONAL SUPPORTNourishing your child’s body is an important rst step in treatment. It’s the beginning of reengaging physical functions that were compromised by the eating disorder. If weight restoration is needed, our medical staff and dietitian will carefully and safely manage this process. A highly skilled registered dietitian will work with your child to support them in overcoming fears around food and eating. They’ll also work closely with you to teach you the skills and the fundamentals of nutrition, food portioning and food plating, so that you will be able to continue meal planning and meal support for your child after treatment. A SPACE FOR HEALINGYour child’s environment is another important aspect of recovery. Your child will be placed within a treatment group — or as we call it, a village — with youths of similar ages and diagnoses. Our child and adolescent spaces are designed with young adults in mind, with homelike furnishings, colors and artwork that support healing and tranquility.
SCHOOL SUPPORT We understand how important it is for your child to continue with their education while in treatment, and to be successful after treatment in an academic setting. An education specialist is available to help patients with their daily schoolwork and support them as they transition back to school. In addition, their therapist will work with them to continue to develop the skills needed to function well at school.LEVELS OF CAREThrough our assessment process, a licensed, master’s-level clinician will determine the appropriate level of care for your loved one.
