*If you have too many carbohydrates, you can develop a resistance to insulin.

*If you don't have enough carbohydrates, your energy will be drained. 

*If you have enough carbohydrates, your body will have the energy to functioning and movement.


*The recommended amount of carbs a person should eat a day is 225 to 325 grams a day.

Carbs can be found in fruits, vegetables, grains, breads, and foods with sugar. 

Polyunsaturated fats and monounsaturated fats are good for you.

An average person should eat about 44 to 78 grams of fat a day. You should only have about 10% of saturated fats a day.


*If you eat too much fat, you can risk getting arterial damage. 

* If you don't eat enough fat, your skin can turn dry, flaky or bumpy. Your hair could turn dry and brittle. 

*Your hair and skin stay smooth and health and you lessen your risk for arterial damage.

Protein is the most useful substance in your body after water.

An average person should eat between 56 grams to 46 grams of protein each day.


*If you eat too much protein, the extra will turn into fat that is stored in the body. 

* If you don't eat enough protein, your body will not function properly.

* If you eat the right amount of protein, your body will be lean and will function properly.  

The different food groups help supply people with all the minerals they need.

An average person needs 1,000 milligrams of calcium and 10 to 15 milligrams of zinc.


*If you have too much minerals, you could have diarrhea, stomach cramps, hair loss, fatigue and mild nerve damage.

* If you don't have enough minerals, you put yourself at risk for tooth decay and gum disease. 

* If you have enough minerals, you will not have to worry about gum disease or hair loss, etc.

An average person should have their RDA( Recommended Dietary Allowance) that is fit to their age and gender.

All kinds of foods have some type of vitamins in them.


*If you have too many vitamins, you could have nausea, stomach cramps,  hair loss, fatigue and mild nerve damage.

*If you don't have enough vitamins, you will suffer from different types of vitamin deficiency.

*If you have the right amount of vitamins, you will be protected from vitamin deficiencies, hair loss, and nerve damage.

An average person should drink eight eight-ounce glasses of water. 

Less than 1% of the water on Earth is actually drinkable water. Most of that water is trapped in icebergs.


* If you drink too much water in a short time, your blood sugar could drop dangerously low, causing a condition called hyponatremia.

* If you don't drink enough water, you will become dehydrated and get water weight. 

*If you drink enough water each day, you will feel healthy and hydrated. 

In a bowl of yogurt with fruit, there would be one serving.

This is a better choice because it has the protein in the yogurt and the vitamins you need in the fruit.

Most yogurts that are in stores are flavored with artificial sweeteners or sugars. If you want yogurt, go for no flavor or vanilla.

Yogurt is full of minerals, vitamins, and proteins. Yogurt also contains probiotics which can help your immune system. Yogurt can help reduce the risks of diseases.

Toast with peanut butter is a good morning meal or late- afternoon snack. It has a healthy amount of carbs, protein, and fat. The carbs mostly come from the bread, and the protein and fat come from the peanut butter. 

For a loaf of Sara Lee Soft & Smooth White Bread, you pay only $2.38.  For a 16 ounce jar of Jif Creamy Peanut Butter, you pay $3.30. In total, that would be $5.68 and you can make multiple meals out of this.
