Michigan Federation for Children and Families 2024 Annual Report
Letter from the
Executive Director
Dear Federation Members, Partners, and Friends,
We are delighted to present our 2023-2024 Annual Report, a reflection of the
Federation's extraordinary journey and the unwavering dedication of our
members to excellence in serving children, families, and communities. Our
mission, deeply rooted in strong advocacy to enhance public policy and
practice while supporting the highest quality services, continues to guide us in
our commitment to Michigan’s communities. We take immense pride in our
partnerships with community-based organizations across the state, as we
support work that makes a direct and lasting impact on children, youth, and
families every day. These collaborative efforts among Federation staff,
members, and community partners have magnified our influence and
contributed significantly to the Federation’s enduring legacy.
This year, together, we have tackled significant challenges and seized
opportunities, ranging from building robust relationships to advocating for
legislative investments. Our efforts in state budget advocacy have secured
nearly $300 million for behavioral health, child welfare, and juvenile justice
services for fiscal year 2025. Additionally, our cutting-edge resource sharing
and engagement through the Federation’s Member Interest Network
meetings have expanded exponentially in both scope and member
participation.
The Federation’s network forms the fabric of care that supports Michigan’s
children, youth, and families. Our strength lies in the diversity of experiences,
populations, and expertise within our network, which enriches our knowledge
and enhances our service delivery. We continue to learn together, address
challenges, and strive for continuous improvement. This year has been no
exception, and we are proud to showcase the impact of our work across
Michigan’s communities.
As we look ahead to 2025, our mission remains our guiding light, inspiring us to
achieve new levels of excellence and make a meaningful difference for
children and families throughout Michigan. It is an incredible privilege to be
part of this vibrant community!
Warm regards,
Michigan Federation for Children and Families 2024 Annual Report
