Shipment Details:  The compressor is 211 inches X 177 inches with a gross weight of 262,000 pounds. One of the largest over-the-road shipments Elliott has ever made.  Thirty-two, 5/8-inch grade-A cables cradled the compressor under a support span across the hauling vehicle’s wheelbase.  Overall length of this transport was 210 feet from bumper to bumper on both trucks.  The trailer width spanned 18 feet; reason for road closure.  The trailer height was 15 feet.  Total weight of the transport, including the compressor, was 580,000 pounds.  Total transit time from Jeannette, PA to Louisiana was 23 days; 1,400 miles of loaded transport, 257 additional miles due to permit-ted routes.  The trailer has 12 axles, 96 wheels; 19 axles, 120 wheels for the entire shipment.  Navigated route: PA to WV to OH to KY to TN to MS to LA.  A relay style of state police escorts accompanied the shipment during each leg of the trip.
