I know a lot of you all are saying the hard part is over. SURPRISE!!SURPRISE!!! The hard part is just getting started. When I say that, it'sprobably not what you think I mean. Most people think that once you receive your real estate license,everyone you know would be calling you to use your services. Wehave it all planned out. All we have to do is send out a blast textmessage or make a post on social media and your phone will beblowing up. Did I get it right?? That's probably what you are thinking. One thing we have to realize iseveryone knows multiple real estate agents. This is one of the biggestpurchases that most people will make in their lifetime. So why wouldthey choose you?

Some people come intothe business to become their own boss. I've even heard someone saythey became an agent because they love touring houses. Determining why you came a real estate agent will help you establishwhat your goals are.When I first became an agent, I was told that I would be great at it bymy own Real Estate Agent. I had never even thought about real estatebefore. Honestly, I didn't know how important homeownership wasnor did I know that you can make an unlimited amount of money inthis field. Yes, I said it ... Unlimited!!! Before you move any further, Let's determine what your goals are.First consider what you want to achieve and then make acommitment. Remember, you want to use SMART Goals.

Understanding Your Why???Understanding why it's important for you to be successful in yourbusiness is the fuel behind your fire. How can you truly give your allwithout knowing why it's important to you. For example: I was told I wouldn't be successful working for myselfand that I would need to consider staying where I was working. Thatsaid to me... They don't believe in me. I need to prove them wrong.Now, at the time... That was my fuel behind my fire. How daresomeone tell me that I can't do something I put my heart and soulinto. Now, over time, my Why changed. I had kids to provide for. Ihad family depending on me. That is why I had no choice but to besuccessful. Plus, I am no longer built to work for other people. It's time to come upwith a strategy and then execute.Let's strategize ..Strategy is simple a plan of action. Your plan of action will outline thethings that you will do to accomplish your goals. This will cause you toreally learn who your target audience is and how you are going to reachthem. Think about if you were buying or selling a home. What are some thingsthat you feel would make you want to use someone's service? Remember,think about what sets you aside from other agents. People will gravitate topeople that they can relate to. Be Creative...Put your plan in place andExecute!! Never be afraid of what will happen if you try.. be afraid of what willhappen if you don't try!
