Karen Andrus Admin Assistant Galen Zimmerman Director of Athletics Head Football Coach Cynthia Louthan Admin Assistant Marisa Tuzzi Assistant Director of Athletics The start of Football season is an incredible time of year In Dripping Springs it brings with it high expectations for our team this is what they have been working for through the offseason WE all have the responsibility of the TEAM as a priority Our players our staff and support personnel are all accountable to one another for results A football team is an entity that changes through the season It never stays the same The benefit of continued repetition must strengthen habits that give us a chance to win The emotion spent on preparation and execution of a game plan puts a lot at stake The team game that football is calls on the individual to set aside his ego for the good of something much bigger than himself It is also very much an ego inclusive sport which makes being SELFLESS much harder This is true in the world we live in as the ME concept is something we all have to battle As Tiger football players we strive to live to our core values of Trust Passion and Discipline Trust Trust is accomplished by having a positive and successful athletic environment based on accountability When an athlete knows that his coaches truly care for him the trust creates a wonderful cycle of continued success We as coaches need to show genuine concern for those students who have given their time and efforts to the program Genuine trust will help players do anything within their power to pay back what they have received Passion Passion is developed through hard work and sacrifice Striving to educate our athletes that what they do now will be part of who they become is a tremendous responsibility for all coaches If student athletes set high goals and expectations working hard to achieve them they will leave a lasting legacy for those behind them to follow This growth process will prepare them for their futures and will become a model for all that follow to emulate The players that follow will naturally look up to them and strive to achieve beyond their predecessors Discipline Clear and consistent discipline goes a long way in establishing a good relationship between a player and a coach as well as creating a successful program Football gives the student athlete a structured framework in which to develop life skills that will assist them throughout their whole lives Teamwork sacrifice work ethic courage to face their fears and a chance to be a part of something greater than themselves The game itself challenges the players to develop the necessary skills in order to perform It is our job as coaches to provide a positive example of what it takes to perform at a high level of success on and off the field Players will be responsible for their actions both on and off the field in order to be successful in life Our core values underline our vision of the Football program We play for those that came before us we set the standard for those that follow Go Tigers Coach Zimmerman 15
