Ripple Fold FullnessRipple fold fullness refers to the amount of fabric used in the construction of ripple fold curtains ordraperies. It is a popular style of window treatment known for its clean, uniform, and modernappearance. Fullness is an important factor in determining how the fabric gathers and hangs whenthe curtains are open or closed. The fullness of ripple fold curtains plays a significant role in theoverall look and functionality of the window treatment. Percentage of the fullness ranges from 60% -120%. These numbers represent the amount of fabric used in relation to the width of the window orthe track on which the curtains will be hung.Drapery FullnessSnaps used in ripplefold curtains typically refers to the carriers that are used to attach the curtainfabric to the track or rod. During installation, the carriers with snaps are evenly spaced along the topedge of the curtain fabric. They easily attach to the corresponding sections of the track or rod,creating the characteristic ripple fold effect. They either come with 4 inch and 6 inch spacingdepending on the fullness you want to achieve.6 inch snaps means that the carriers are spaced 6 inches apart along the curtain track or rod. Widerspacing can contribute to a more casual and contemporary appearance. Whereas, with 4 inch snaps,curtains have carriers spaced 4 inches apart, which has more compact and smaller folds. Pinch Pleat FullnessPinch pleat fullness is visibly seen by the amount of fabric gathered into each pleat. It referred to as apercentage that directly relates to a ratio. Double Height DraperyDouble-height drapery refers to windowtreatments that are designed to cover windows inrooms with high ceilings, often spanning twostories. These drapes are tailored to the specificrequirements of tall windows and can enhance theaesthetics of a space while serving practicalpurposes such as light control and privacy.Difference Between Single Width and Wide WidthDraperySingle Width Drapery refers to curtain panels thatare typically designed for smaller windows that donot require a lot of fabric width. It is generallynarrow and may be around 50 inches wide and issuitable for standard-sized windows. Wide Width Drapery involves using curtain panelsthat are wider than the standard single-widthpanels. These panels are designed to cover largerwindows or provide a more luxurious and fullappearance. It can range from 100 inches to 150inches or more, offering significantly more fabricper panel compared to single-width drapery.Factors to consider when choosing betweensingle and wide width drapery:Window Size: Single width draperies aresuitable for narrow windows, while wide widthdraperies are better for wider windows.Desired Fullness: If you want a fuller, moreluxurious look, opt for wide width draperies.Functionality: If you need draperies to closefully for privacy or light control, wide width is abetter choice.Budget: Wide width draperies require morefabric and are generally more expensive thansingle width draperies.Drapery Length and Width15

The KS Track on the other hand is highly efficientfor all types of medium weight curtains. It has 11/4” width, narrower than of a CS track and itcomes with regular non-wheeled gliders only. KS Tracks/CS Tracks Vs. Decorative RodsTwo most common hand drawn system are theCS track and KS track. The CS Track is similar in shape to the KS track,but is slightly larger with a taller profile. Usually thewidth of it is 1 1/2” in diameter. It can also be runwith the use of wheels as gliders and is great forextra heavy curtains.CS track kS track 16

Channel RodA channel rod, also known as a curtain channel orcurtain track, is a type of hardware used forhanging curtains or draperies. It consists of atrack or rail with a channel where curtain hooks orgliders can be attached. These curtain hooks orgliders allow curtains to smoothly slide open orclosed along the channel rod, making it easier tooperate and control the curtains. This hardware isoften used for heavy or large curtains, as itprovides better support and ensure smoothmovement.Decorative RodA decorative rod, often referred to as a decorativecurtain rod or drapery rod, is a type of curtainhardware primarily used for its aesthetic appeal.Unlike standard or utilitarian curtain rods,decorative rods are designed to enhance theoverall look and style of the curtains and the roomin which they are installed.Hardware17

CS TrackThe CS Track is a robust aluminum track with apowder coated finish, measuring 3/4” in width and3/4” in depth. It is designed to support wheeledcarriers, allowing smooth movement of draperywith varying weights. The track itself can carry 6lbs. of drapery weight per foot. Installationoptions include mounting on either the wall orceiling, with brackets required approximately every4 feet during installation. KS TrackThis aluminum track boasts high quality andfeatures patented lubrication. Stitch Types:In upholstery, stitch types refer to the different ways that fabric can be sewn together or finished tocreate a specific look, feel, or function.French Welt (Flanged Seam/Welt Cord) - This creates a raised "piping" effect. Fabric strips arewrapped around a cord and sewn into the seam, adding dimension and a decorative touch. It'scommon on sofas, chairs, and cushions. Often found on classic or traditional furniture, adding aluxurious touch.Piping (Single Welt Cord) - Similar to French welt, but with only a single layer of fabric over thecord. It's simpler and more streamlined, often used on cushions or less formal furniture. Versatile,used on both casual and formal pieces, commonly seen on cushions.Top Stitch - A single line of visible stitching on the surface of the fabric, typically close to the edgeor seam.
