Congratulaons to the 4 new inductees who were inducted
into the WA Lions Hall of Fame at a presgious dinner held
at the Pamelia Hilton on the 5 November. They were Lion
Barry Bristow-Stagg (Northam Lions Club), Lion Phillip Caunt
(Lions Club of Busselton), PDG Bill Dente (Lions Club of
Leeuwin) and PDG John (Jack) Sells (Lions Club of Whiords)

Welcome to the December edion of Mikes meanderings.
The DG Team has now visited most Lions clubs and our 2
Lioness clubs. Thank you to you all for your kind
hospitality. We love to get out to meet clubs and wow
what a lot of diverse projects are being done. I will be
vising our 1 LEO club in the new year and hope to charter
another early next year.
We are at the half way mark with Christmas fast
approaching. We will have held our 2
for the year and the cabinet and guests enjoy a Christmas
lunch put on by the ladies at the Cannington Bowls Club.
On the weekend of the 19
of November the
district held its 1
training weekend for club members on
Guiding Lions Training and New Clubs Workshop run by
GLT Chrisne Walker and GMT PDG Barry Middleton. The
workshops were very informave and despite them not
been well aended the lions that did aend got a lot out
of them. The informaon got from these workshops does
not only apply to new clubs but to your exisng club and
would give you a lot of ideas and help for your own club.
Thank you for pung the weekend together Barry,
Chrisne and Sue. Tnext workshop will be held in February
keep a look out for dates.
Over the last month Lion Mary-Anne and I have aended
the SAY Project Awards Ceremony and the Lions Hall of

Ceremony was held on the
3rd of November where the
top ten group entrants shared
$8,000 in prize money. The
West Australian Lions Drug
(WALDEF) donated a total of
$10,000 in cash and prizes
partnering with WA Police to
deliver the project for 2016.
