DELORES ANGELA ROWE-RAMKISSONDelores Angela Rowe-Ramkisson was born to the late Hugh and Hazel Rowe on October 2, 1959, in St. Andrew,Jamaica, W.I. On July 16, 1972, at the age of 13, she, along with her parents and siblings, arrived in the United Statesof America and settled in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn, New York.Delores Angela soon began her educational journey at I.S. 210 in Brooklyn, then to George Wingate High School,and proudly graduated from Boys & Girls High School in 1978. Shortly after high school, she attended andgraduated from the prestigious Katherine Gibbs school, which led her to work as an Executive Assistant at manyprominent companies across Wall Street, Media and Entertainment, and more. Delores Angela's thirst for knowledge and dedication to her future led her to achieve an Associate in AppliedScience from the Borough of Manhattan Community College, and she later earned her Bachelor of Science degreefrom Mercy College. She recently enrolled in a Masters degree program that would have begun in October 2023.Her public school education roots came full circle when she joined the It Takes A Village Academy (ITAVA)community at Tilden High School in Brooklyn, where she was employed for almost two decades. She was aninspiration and a beloved figure, and her unwavering dedication to her students, their parents, and her coworkersearned her their admiration. She was genuinely missed after retirement.Her academic and career accomplishments were only a part of Delores Angela's life story. Delores Angela's passion for fashion, music, and dance was a constant thread throughout her life. She shared it withher family and friends, creating unforgettable moments on the dance floor and earning the nickname "DivaDelores" for her fly fashion sense. She loved to travel globally and create memories through other uniqueexperiences.Delores Angela's unwavering faith in God was a guiding light in her life. Her faith provided solace during times ofdifficulty and offered a steady compass for her values. She was an inspiration to all who witnessed her unwaveringdevotion. Delores Angela was a member of the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn for over 20 years. Afterretiring and relocating to Georgia, she recently became a Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral member inAustell, Georgia. Her spirituality was not just a part of her life; it was the essence of who she was and touched thehearts of those around her.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her children, Taniqua, Paul, and Shawnya, whom she cherished. Delores Angela was alsoblessed with the love of her grandchildren, Imani, Dehlani, Demani, and Gabriela, who were her pride andjoy. Delores Angela's warm heart extended to her siblings, Courtney, Jacqueline, and Juilene, as well as her niecesand nephews, Gary, Ann Marie, Winston, Prince Michael, Andrell, Amir, Count Antonio, Jakeem, Jafarri,Ocyris, and a host of grand nieces and nephews including Dakota, Asiya, Jassiah, Soriya, Antonio Jr. andYavin. Their family bonds were unbreakable, a testament to the love and care she shared with each of them.She remained close with her former spouse, Vincent Ramkisson, and her extended family: sisters Cynthia,Velma, Joan, and Jennifer and nieces and nephews Karlene, Nadine, Sophia, Keisha, Christopher, Cyril,Sherine, and Kerryann.She is also survived by many other cousins and relatives, near and abroad, with whom she was very close andloved dearly.Her friendships were as enduring as her spirit, with many lasting for decades.
