As a recipient of the United States Tennis Association “Facility of the Year” award, it’s one of the top tennis tournament venues in the southwest. The complex is open seven days a week; hours vary seasonally. Pickleball Complex 14534 W Tierra Buena Ln Enjoy a game of this fast-growing sport at our 16-court lighted complex within Surprise Community Park. It’s a great destination for pickleball enthusiasts or anyone wanting to learn this fun game that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis! Bring the family to the Surprise Aquatic Center, which includes a vortex whirlpool, competition pool, diving well, two slides and a zero depth area with water play features for children. Open swim is available on select days of the week from late May - September. Community Park 15953 N Bullard Ave This beautiful park features a playground; basketball, pickleball and sand volleyball courts; dog park; and fishing at the five-acre Urban Fishing Lake. From our beautiful scenicmountain range to the lush desert oasis created by ourworld-class golf course, these are some fantasticreasons to get out and explore!ExploreWhy are they called the White Tank Mountains? While infrequent, we do get heavy rains here that can cause torrentialflows. This rain flow then pours down chutes and drops off ledgesscouring out a series of depressions, or tanks, in the white granite rock.This nature made design and coloration provides the mountains theirname.White Tank Mountain Regional Park is nearly 30,000 acres and provides endlessoptions to fit every age, experience level andability. There are approximately 30 miles ofhiking trails at the park that offer breathtakingviews of the mountains and panoramas of thevalley below. This includes two short trailswith no barriers that are paved and handicapaccessible. The longest trail at the park isabout eight miles and the shortest is justunder a mile long. This includes the waterfall,which leads to Petroglyph Plaza. The park isopen daily from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. So go aheadand grab a bottle of water, or two, and lace upyour walking shoes.
